Apparently I signed up for Playfire back in 2009 and never did anything with it. I just searched my email and found my welcome email.

Well it's Wednesday over here and it's my birthday.

Turning 25 feels old man.

Congrats!

Hey, I don't feel 45. (I'm not quite sure what 45's supposed to feel like, actually. Though listening to some of these guys, I think I should be feeling half-dead, with the reaction times of a comatose turtle. Or maybe three-quarters dead.)
But you're a program so it's different.

Rune.
don't even touch xblades its horrible
I need to replay Rune. Being able to chop off limbs and then using said limbs as weapons needs to be more of a thing.

oh, I missed all the a/s/l talk? bummer.

It might be a bit cheaper on Nuuvem, but if you have some Playfire bucks you can make the gmg deal real sweet.

Damn dude, that's glorious. I'm short 2 cheevos for Goat Simulator, but the game has already paid for itself. Currently sitting on $6.99 in Playfire with some still pending. It's beautiful.

I don't intend to do any of the playfire rewards stuff but it's always been a better service than raptr. I never understood why people were still using the latter tbh

A little late on this, but I too use LastPass. Been using it for years. I think I may still even have premium service, as I translated it to Finnish way back when, and they bumped me to premium as a thanks.

edit: Yup. Lifetime premium I guess.

Dare any of you in your 30's to get on a DDR machine and play a round.

I used to be pretty serious when it came to DDR back in the day. Hopped on a machine a year or two back and nearly had a heart attack! Still play a fair few rhythm games though.

Do I buy OlliOlli Vita for 3,19€ or do I wait for the Steam version? It looks like a game more suited for a mobile device but what if it gets trading cards and Playfire awards? I could earn money by waiting. Argh.

More good deals here for EU-based PS3Vita owners: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/04/09/playstation-store-easter-sale-begins-today/ Wolf Among Us is even cheaper than on Steam (ignoring Russian traders and technical deficiencies of the console versions of course).

If it's coming to Steam then I'm pretty certain that we'll do rewards. It's a tough one, been thinking about picking it up on Vita myself. My minion has it and loves it.

I'm pre-ordering DS II immediatly when my Arkham City cashrewards are tranfered to my GMG account. 25% off + 6 Pounds in rewards makes for a nice discount. Not as awesome as what Nabs has, but still. Good stuff. ^^
£40 though :( I'm too lazy to farm Playfire bucks, but even with 25% off and £32 it'd be cheaper for me to buy it at... ugh, I can barely say it... retail.

I asked GMG to put me back on the $, but nope, denied.

On the subject of sucking at FPS, I tried BF4 last night but I just kept getting murdered from all directions. Just let me frolick in the open without getting shot, please. I actually enjoyed the corridor shooting maps more than the large conquest stuff, but then I just wished for more interesting objectives like Enemy Territory or Brink. Also holy shit does it take forever to unlock anything in BF4.

I'm not so sure about that.
Raptr is better at tracking my games and the profile page for playfire is all kinds of messed up. My feed is nothing but console games I have played months ago. My steam stuff doesn't even show aside from my recent activity.

Nah. You still need skillz for COD, its just hard to distinguish kill-streak abusers with those of actual skill. Winning MW3 free-for-all specialist without dying was my greatest accomplishment in COD.

It was also pretty fun to run with pistol only and pwn noobs. So many hacking accusations lol
I know you don't need skills to play those games because I use to be #1 always in most of them. The guns have no recoil, there's no penalty for dying, they have perks to help you hide your lack of skill, etc. That's ok, I mean look at Titanfall. Most modern FPS multiplayer games want to make you feel skilled even if you are not, you can thank CoD and Halo for that.

Question regarding Erica Reed:
In what episodes do you get the 3 required cheevos from?

I plan on finishing up Ep. 1 and 2 today before the deadline.

Did you do something to get that long subscription?

I don't even know what playfire is. Guess I'll just stick with GMG.
Still, thanks.

Playfire is a game playtime/achievement tracking site that gives gmg credit for getting specific achievements within a certain timeframe, each day they put up new rewards with a timer counting down. If you get the achievement while it's active, you get the credit.

Did you do something to get that long subscription?

The post you quoted says he translated it to Finnish for them, I imagine that's what it was.

ah, well, maybe... I only use the service to have a list of games I've played, I don't care about it being updated as soon as I start a new one. I guess that answers my question though :p

I just noticed I had leftovers keys from HiB 11 (aka. 'best bundle') that I'd not modbotted yet :p expect a giveaway soonish (a playful one, as always)

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I've a problem with the playfire-gmg thing, but the support seems to have just forgot about me.
When playfire and GMG were two different sites I was registered to both with different emails. Then they asked to connect the two accounts through a form on the GMG website which I did, but it didn't work apparently, since now they're counted as 2 separate gmg-playfire accounts and I can't transfer the playfire rewards on my GMG account

So that new Borderlands game isn't being made by Gearbox. I wonder if the devs will fix all of the things that Gearbox is oblivious to.

No? I've been living a lie.

PhysX is only used for fluid simulation when attacking enemies (pared back compared to what Nvidia had earlier demoed), more pretty butterflies when jumping around (seriously?) and terrain deformation in a later level of the game (again, drastically pared back compared to what Nvidia had earlier demoed). Everything else is the engine's own doing.

Yep. http://physxinfo.com/news/5883/gpu-physx-in-alice-madness-returns/

Interesting note: physically simulated clothing and hair for Alice are not part of hardware PhysX content, and are not affected by PhysX settings (moreover, it is not even using PhysX engine for simulation).

Why did he only include Xbone?

My guess is so that he could put the Kinect line in as a sort of punch, and also the MMO bit so it doesn't have to acknowledge FF XIV.

(I don't play or know much of XIV, just that it is at least reasonably successful and will be on a console.)

That said, as true as it is, images like that just kind of make me roll my eyes.
