Steam will still have some policies that will prevent content such as that to be removed and banned from the store. Their restrictions on say, games that promote hatred, or hentai/sex games will still not be allowed on steam. ( and that's why there is now a report function for games).

Can we report - and remove - objectively shitty games? That's the only way an open Steam marketplace will work IMO.

I wouldn't mind some quality control so absolute garbage doesn't get in, though that hasn't really worked too well so far. Greenlight definitely needs tweaking if games like BoneTown get in. But the problem is that other games that are actually good wouldn't get in either.

Also, I don't see why Mein Kampf shouldn't be on libraries. Yes, it was written by a monster that made horrible things, but it is a piece of history that is very relevant to various themes, like the rise of nacional-socialism on Germany and WW2. But alas, this is something that should be discussed in other thread.

There were two copies of it in my high school library. Different regional standards, I guess.

So no, you can't. Neither you should, imo. If the game is playable (aka, no severe technical issues) and it doesn't infringe on the things descripted above, it should stay.

I, for one, would rather Steam (and the Internet as a whole) remain a library rather than become a market bazaar, but it seems I'm yelling at clouds on that front.

I think the ideal situation is Valve hire some people to curate the store by engaging with the community (through votes), publishers and indie developers to make sure steam has the best possible games at a consistent high quality.

On the other hand, opening the floodgates and stuffing up years of careful collecting by making the game count essentially meaningless would be kind of funny too.

I don't think it works for mobile, but just hit the Gaf symbol next to the thread.

On mobile, you can toggle this behaviour under settings.

Didn't know this, thanks. That's definitely going to help in the morning when I'm on mobile to keep track of what I missed in this thread instead of randomly guessing.

There were 75 games that made it through Greenlight a few days ago. Dark Souls 2 PC news arrives tomorrow, at least through Giantbomb, if I remember right. Might be wrong.

Online definitely needs more work, as it's a pain to enter a new game once you're out of lives in the current one. Even so, there's a lot to like about the game as it currently stands. Looks like multiplayer is the best way to experience it thanks to all the stupidly over-the-top chaos that can ensue, lol.

Just doing some random google searches and came accross a Welsh harp player named Hero Melia who just happened to do a photo shoot in a red dress with mountain scenery. Probably just a huge coincidence though.

There is actually an app in the Android store that simulates the Nvidia H.264 streaming from a >600 series GPU to the Shield.

Until there is a native Steam In Home Streaming app for Android, that would work perfectly with the Fire TV.
