Steam Autumn Sale Thread of Your Wallet Giving Thanks *Gobble Gobble*

You should definitly get:
- Lair of the Shadow Broker (best DLC and important story for ME3)
- Arrival (medicro DLC but important story for ME3)

You might want to get:
- Kasumi (new Squad mate and awesome mission)
- Project Overlord (good and long side quest)

Skip:
- the rest

Do these things go on sale often? can you play the DLC missions after completing the story?

The DLC like never goes on sale. Though some of us picked it up for 60% off techcnially when EA had that 60% off coupon on origin that worked on 800 bioware pt(which are used to buy the dlc).

I knew there would be a Steam sale this week for the holiday, but I didn't think it would be this big.
...No Gabe... it's my wallet ;_;

What the fuck valve!

You know what, just have a year long round sale. a new bunch of games at a discounted price every day of the year. Make every steam user poor.

Hardly go on sale. Maybe Bioware has a sale on Bioware points this Thanksgiving or Christmas?

You can complete all of them during or after the game. I would recommend playing Shadow Broker and Arrival after the main game (as it makes a bit more sense storywise but it's not much); Kasumi and the rest before the end game because it makes more sense to have them during the game obviously.

Also if anyone is doing a 4-pack for Renegade Ops, I'm in, I can only gift you a game though.

Since it's out of the ordinary, I'll gift you a game of $4.99 or less, while the price of one copy is $3.74 so I'm throwing in a dollar more ;D. PM me, if you still are interested.

While it's not that great of a deal, Risen is an amazing RPG.

I can only come in here and say that EVERYONE MUST BUY ORCS MUST DIE!

I got it full price, and it's provided me a helluva lot more entertainment and less game crashing glitches than a certain dungeon game you must defend (I got a four pack of that particular game and also on PSN...I can hate... :'( )

Think I'm safe for today but not for the rest of the week. Every game apart from Sonic Generations and Waves in my wishlist is on sale. Waiting to see if any of them turn up in a daily, but if not I'm in trouble.

Numerous people talking like they're buying New Vegas DLC.

Come on people, that's high-profile. There's a very good chance that gets made a Franchise sale during the next couple days. Wait.

No hate allowed!

Looks like we have 4!

2. foomfoom415
3. BiasedGamer
4. Torraz

Arken2121 when you get a chance just let us know where to Paypal. Thanks!

Oh yes, it's finally time to get Mass Effect 2 before EA pulls it off of Steam.

Don't forget to set aside ~2500 MS points for the DLC! :)

I always forget that needs to be bought elsewhere. :-(

What do you guys means by this? The regular is $5 but the Digital Deluxe version is $7.50 and includes all the DLC. Am I missing something or are you just talking about the base ME2?

The chances of Portal 2 being in the christmas sale are pretty high, right?

Valve games have higher likelihood of being in the sales than any other publisher, for obvious reasons.
Of course the entire Valve Collection will be $50 during the holiday sale (possibly cheaper if they glitch the price again <.<)

Nope, it doesn't include the DLC, just weapons, soundtrack and digital art book.

No it doesn't. The deluxe edition just includes a soundtrack and artwork. Doesn't include any DLC. Although even if it did include codes (which it doesn't), it will still have to be done through Bioware's site.

Just out of curiosity what is so bad about the game?

I wrote a mini-rant about it in a previous Steam sale thread. Going from memory, it's been a while since I touched it:

  • Terrible handling, and not just "LOL it's TDU, of course it's bad" simulation master race variety. I was using the 360 controller for PC and it felt like driving a bus.
  • NPC/AI vehicles that teleported on and off the road around you, this happened a lot and was extremely disconcerting
  • Poor and dated graphics, almost like it was previous gen
  • Insistence on completing annoying tutorials/licences before you could do anything interesting
  • Disgusting framerate, certainly not explained by any superlative awesomeness happening onscreen

After seeing someone mention they might buy it in another thread today, I figured a warning was due especially as it's one of the daily deals. AFAIK, there was some major shit between Eden and Atari towards the end of it so post-release support was likely to be fuck all. There was a patch very soon after release but the list above is based on that.

If another renegade ops 4 pack gets going, can I join? My PayPal recently had direct debit issues so I don't think incoming payments are working but I can pay out ok.

It only includes the DLC like Soundtrack and some bonus weapon. Real DLC can only be downloaded from the official Bioware website using Bioware Points. (definitly get Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival (story important for ME3). You might also want to get Kasumi (new mission and Squadmate) and Overlord (nice sidequest))

Looking to gift Risen (10 EUR) to someone in the US in exchange for ME2 DD edition (7.50 USD). You'd basically be getting Risen for half-price.

Steam profile is in my forum info, if anyone's interested.

Edit: Trade done, thanks Mimir!
