Steam Autumn Sale Thread of Your Wallet Giving Thanks *Gobble Gobble*

I really have to stop buying games for a couple of years so I can get excited by Steam sales again. Every time, it's a page full of crap I already own. It's depressing.

Would have bought Mass Effect 2 but after their origin fiasco and how I literally cannot even start BF3 I think I will pass. No EA games for me ever. Quick question will there also be a winter sale ?

Me and 3 friends are tempted by the Left 4 Dead 2 4-pack for $30. What are the chances it will be lower on a daily deal?

I also hope the Deus Ex Missing Link DLC gets a daily deal. It doesn't appear to be discounted at all right now.

Nah Gabe said that people get too pissed off that there's no bandwidth over the holiday season so no sale this year.

ME2 doesn't need origin. Just play it like any other game. Buy it. It's an awesome game.

So tempted to double dip on ME2. But it has no controller support and no DLC :/.

Ok... for the 10th time now. Pick this game up! You don't need a controller for it to be awesome (though I agree I like the xbox controls more) and DLC is not that important (I would still play Shadow Broker and Arrival though). Maybe you can get some cheap Bioware Points during an EA sale? There once was one for 60% or so off.

Including this sale, I have now bought 6 copies of ME1 and 7 copies of ME2 so far (mostly to give away to friends).

Football Manager 2012 is on sale for $29.99 right now. Buy it, you fools!

(it may get cheaper and if it does I'll get kind of annoyed)

Controls perfectly fine with keyboard and mouse (unless you want comfy couch?) but yes, the DLC is a hassle just due to the stupid Bioware points.

No controller support isn't that big a deal to me, actually. I comfy couch with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Just that my keyboard is currently fucked because my sister spilled something on it :/. Gotta get a new one asap.

Steam's being annoying, although I guess it's understandable given the volume of people that are likely browsing the store.

Everything I add to my cart disappears a minute or two later, and I just get an error when I try and purchase it, saying try again later.

Anyone having their carts being reset? I added the Orcs Must Die and DLC to my cart and then went to go add TDU2 and the OMD stuff is gone, it's happened twice! :/

I've never played a Bioware game before. But I'm tight on money and would far prefer Owlboy, Civilization 4, Deus Ex 2, and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition to another RPG.

I thnik I'll wait on most of the daily deals because I don't have time to play them all right now and a couple of them will be surely cheaper during the Winter sale.

On the other hand, I don't think Mass Effect will be even cheaper, and I want to finally try Portal 2 but I'm a cheapass and I bet it'll be 75% off next month...

Anyways: Buy Orcs Must Die! Awesome timewaster, I'm tempted to buy the DLC but I haven't finished the base game yet... Also, I know for sure I'll buy Cthulhu Saves the World this time, and if Witcher 1, The Void, Killing Floor, Psychonauts or EDGE get even cheaper they'll be insta-buys.

Yup. And now I'm getting punted back to the main page whenever I click 'purchase for myself.'

I'll try again later.
