edit: also salsa's ban is up like hours after the store updates so the thread won't be until 8 hours after the store is updated? lol

damn son. i tend to play a lot of rpgs and I play em at my own pace which is why it takes me so long to beat games. witcher 3 for example took me the entire summer, mgsv took me like a month and a half

Actually looking at the rules this year, they've become much more lenient re: eligible games. Seems like timetokill was fed up with the constant discussion about what to allow with ports/remasters/remakes/DLCs, games released in one region but not another, games released on one platform but not another etc.

"Anything with playable content" is probably as all-encompassing as it can get. Though I haven't seen a couple of my games on the spreadsheet, I'm fairly confident that Rebel Galaxy, Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch - Enhanced Edition and Grow Home are all eligible.

I think I'm going to wait until I cast my vote, I'm not done with this year just yet.

Not that it truly matters, console games that I haven't played will probably win either way. :p

Steamgaf goty is where it's at.

I don't like that it's finishing 52 games for the metric. That really makes choosing to play a 50+ hour game a hard choice, as you can get through 5+ "regular" games or more in that same time frame. I think an hour-based metric (or hybrid metric), while still requiring that the game be "finished" would be better more reasonable to account for the vastly varying length of games.

Personally I just played what I wanted, and padded things out with a few shorter games. I'd have gotten it easily if the WoW bug hadn't bitten me again. The one thing it did was push me to actually finish games. I liked that as I have a bad habit of stopping playing things and never getting back to them. Besides, the rules are pretty lax, it's an informal self regulated system anyway. I'd be well over the 52 now if I counted episodes individually for example.

Been saying that a while. Gears of War will launch around the same time as KI, and probably the open beta of Fable Legends. They want to have like a month or so of "big" games to launch the Windows 10 store as a gaming avenue. I'd expect those three, maybe even Tomb Raider, all within 2 months of each other, as well as some indie games and a handful of those "windows 10 store" versions of games that got announced a while ago.

Second Main Mission in Dishonored put a damper on my enjoyment. I don't like going back to the same area a second time, the distillery, Holger Square. That's not to my liking. Hopefully it's just this time and from now on only new areas and no repeats.

Also, downsampling from 4K with DSR makes Steam Overlay look funny small. EDIT: Aargh, the effect is not visible good when clicking the image :(

That was my first Steam Sale and it was a nice experience. That winter was ok but most after that fell flat for me. Probably more about me being new and loosing interest by having many games later rather than later sales "sucking".

Yeah, those games perfectly fit for their big Windows 10 store 'big' games announcement. Sea of Thieves as well, perhaps.

Setup my temporary gaming station for the next 2 weeks . Don't mind the old ass T.V. My wife and I are are finally upgrading after 10 years of her having it.

By the way, Downwell is just so damn awesome. Especially in TATE mode.

After these last few days of playing SFV (last weeks stress test included). I am on the fence. I was blinded at first about how different it felt from SF4 and it being more to my taste but, playing the actual game seems to be very middling with me. The cast isn't the problem as much as how they play. Laura is annoying for me to deal with at the moment and I probably just need more time but, she has an overly safe string that just kinda becomes a nuisance. Crush counters are a neat idea in theory but them being triggered automatically messes up the flow of combat more than I like it to. No dying to chip damage outside of super for sure messed up a few games I thought I could win because I thought I could chip.

There is a lot of unknowns more than anything else. There is still a couple more hours left in the beta but yeah, I am glad I was able to try this game before buying it to test the waters.

Oh hey Rayge, I just got the G710 keyboard the other day, my first mechanical keyboard. Walmart had it for $100 but, they decided to price match it for $60 dollars where Best Buy had it at. It's a nice keyboard.

Oh yeah, what kind of stick is that? I know it's a Vewlix but, I can't say I have seen that one.
