Music to my ears. Exactly what I want. As long as this is no surprise I usually pick a time to play when the mood suits me (which is most of the time)

Keep in mind that NPCs have something new to say after every little event that advances the main story.
And they have damn good things to say. Trails worldbuilding is sublime. Like, I probably can tell you how the entire economy operates in the country and from where which wares come from among a lot of other stuff, just by talking with the NPCs. And they don't only tell you stuff about their world, but also about themselves and you learn about their life. Many have their own little 'stories' going on that develop throughout the game as well.

I'm pretty sure there was another one, but Steam Advisor does that.

Edit: Or this one: http://whatshouldiplayonsteam.com/

So the first site is basically sorting it on the % of Steam reviews? Not very good but not bad. I'd have preferred if you could sort on Steam tags/genres.

And the second one is completely random, regardless of whether or not you've already played it? Bad site. The first site is much better in comparison then.

There's this, but I don't think there's a complete project to restore the original sprites. I remember reading about one but I believe it's on standby for now.

EDIT: here is the project.

Is there a mod for Final Fantasy VI where I can change the pixel sprite to the original or something along those lines?

The deblur filter alone brings the sprites up to a good enough level that the original sprites are nearly redundant.

You will probably like this one: www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/

Lets you search tags.

I'll give it a try, thanks!

edit: That's an amazing site! It's exactly what I was looking for. You know what would make this perfect? If you could also search the entire Steam store based on your selected tag(s) the very same way that site now only searches your Steam account.

That would be perfect. It's something I'd really love to see in Enhanced Steam

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Enhanced Steam has been updated to version 9.1.1. This maintenance release includes the following bug fixes:
  • Updated the advanced inventory controls to work with the new layout, they are now enabled by default
  • Fixed a bug where site icons would display incorrectly on profiles if the display style was set to none
  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause quick sell functions to sell items for the wrong amount
  • Fixed a bug that could cause some game's workshop item list not to load correctly
This update is available for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Chrome users should see the extension update itself automatically within the next 60 minutes. Firefox users will update on their browser's regular update schedule, or by selecting "Check for updates" on their addons screen.

As always, please let me know if you encounter any issues with this release.

Is there a way to look at your most recommended (by friends) games in your library? I should probably finish up the Expansions for the Witcher, but I just can buckle down and start them.

Look on top left of steam frontpage.

Edit. I'm sorry, I forgot you asked only for games in your library. It's not what you are looking for but its better than nothing.

I'm not sure if it's new, but the Early Access banner looks weird. It takes up more space due to some text being all-caps.

The top one is without Enhanced Steam.

Currently playing Momodora 4. Man, this game is amazing. If you wanted a Dark Souls in 2D mixed with Metroidvania, this game is it. I'm not sure there's anything better for that particular desire. Game is fantastic. Some frustration with bad design regarding pitfalls being death or not, but overall, excellent.

Freed from FF15 until they add all the new content, I've started finishing off all the 2016 games I started but wound up drifting away from. Here are some impressions if anyone cares.

First was Oxenfree. For me, this game caused the same irritation that visual novels generally do - if there is limited gameplay, in general I'd rather just be able to watch a story in movie form or read it in book form. The story is very interesting and the game does some novel things with conversation, but the rest of the game consists of walking from place to place, with very little puzzle solving to speak of. I was also very frustrated that they never changed the conversation system so that you were not forced to interrupt one characters thoughts or wind up not being able to say anything at all. Without spoiling, the game also offers some pretty clever reasons to do more than one playthrough, but I wasn't willing to drag the characters across the map again to see, so I settled with reading a walkthrough. Voice acting was also good, with the exception of Ren, who sounded like he was pulled off the street. I also want to know why he does not have earrings at the start of the game but somehow has them later in the game.

Next was Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. I love the Deus Ex games, and this is really more of the same. This one includes a small open world hub section that works pretty well at the start of the game but starts to get tiring, and toward the end of the game it becomes a drag for reasons that would be a spoiler. If you like exploring the secrets and hidden paths of the better Deus Ex games, you won't be disappointed here. Lots of different places to go and things to find, and many different ways to attack a problem. I did a no-kill run, but along the way was very intrigued by how a guns blazing approach might look. Exploring does wind up being a bit strange, because it seemed that just about every location was linked to a quest, sidequest or note in some manner. For example, you might find an apartment you could sneak into and ransack. Later in the game it's likely you would encounter a quest that took you to that specific apartment and now there would be an additional email on the computer or drawer you could now open. Probably not the best Deus Ex game, but if you enjoyed Human Revolution, you really can't go wrong here.

Finally there's Shadwen. I do really enjoy stealth games and Shadwen is a bit of a unique one. If you're not aware, time in Shadwen only progresses when you move or manually progress it, and you can rewind at will. Your goal is to get a little girl from the start of a level to the end by clearing the way from hiding place to hiding place. For an escort quest, this one is very forgiving - Lily is very aggressive in moving, can't be spotted, and will make moves forward you don't even think she could make. Shadwen has a rope she can use to travel up high and swing around, as well as pull objects to make noise. There are also a number of blueprints that can be found to make traps, bombs and decoys. You have the option of using some lethally or non-lethally, with the understanding that any body found in the open is essentially game over, and if Lily sees you kill someone that has a minor effect on the story. The time feature makes the game a little strange from a difficulty level - since you can rewind at will, you can retry tactics over and over. However, the game only saves at 2 or 3 checkpoints per level and there is no way to quicksave. One would think they would add a mode where time is constantly moving and you can quicksave, but this is not an option. The rope physics are pretty crazy, but you get used to them and rewind makes it a bit of a non-issue. I think the biggest issue is that the game 15 levels of very much the same thing from start to finish, with really no new mechanics or changes in the environment. If you are doing a run where you kill everything there are armored guards that are more difficult to kill, but that's about all I noticed. By doing a no-kill run I was able to get 3 of the 4 endings by replaying the last sub-chapter. A kill-everything run would certainly be a challenge due to the need to not have any dead bodies spotted. It's tough to really recommend this unless you really like stealth games, but I'm sure it will be in bundles in the new year, as it's in the Yogscast bundle.

Next I'm on to finishing Obduction, and then perhaps Shadow Tactics and Aragami.

So I bought Titanfall back on Uplay store's bug. Being a single player minded person, I thought there was some way to play the "campaign" , even with other people.

Today I've decided to try it, but it's impossible. It seems there is no way to play the campaign alone, and there is nobody else playing it. Well, I found one other person, but I guess that was not enough.

Money wasted, I guess. Well, I can still play some regular multiplayer, though I'm never much into it.

Titanfall 2 is the one you want. It has a great single player campaign. EA has already devalued that IP, so I'm sure it'll be dirt cheap in no time.

Will that ever release?

They were pretty active on their social media pages in the first half of this year, but updates became sparse in the second half. Hopefully that's just due to a small team working to get the game ready for launch, rather than indicative of problems behind the scenes. If I see any updates I'll be sure to post them on here.
