Have to say that Shelter looked a lot more interesting than it actually was.

I could see people getting into it and a couple of the later scenes are somewhat memorable and makes it worth $2.50. But those scenes still have nothing much to do and I was left wanting a lot more from the concept.

The bundle of the first two Penny Arcade games is currently $3.59, since they weren't discounted at all prior to this flash deal I'm going to assume it's another pricing error, might want to pick them up.

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.
Well, so far including Amazon/GMG I've had quite the start to the winter sales on Steam for me, especially as I wasn't expecting to get much.

I've bought the following:

Castle of Illusion
Super Hexagon
Outlast
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
F1 2013 (Classic Edition)
Ducktales Remastered
Deus Ex HR: Directors Cut and finally Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

More than I was expecting so far, and as we head to our 2nd sale thread I wonder how many more games I will end up getting. 2 away from 800 games owned.

I don't remember any scary moments in Fear2, shooting part was really good. Fear3 on the other hand felt like a rushed $1 indie game.

It was more of a pop at you scary rather than Silent Hill 2 ambiance scary. It was right at the start of the game
You're in the ship with your squadmates about to go on the mission, and you look at you squadmate for a brief second and instead of it being the normals dudes face its that crazy girl who looks like shes from the Ring.

Nooooooppppeeeee.jpg Mind you this was at 10 AM PST and I jumped the fuck out of my seat. Like I said not Silent Hill 2 scary but this was only in the first ten minutes so it already left an impression on me.

You could have gotten Shelter in the Groupees Be Mine X bundle back in November for a buck. Vote for Sherlock, Shelter will be whored out to another bundle eventually.

FFVIII is the other game I wanted as a Daily or Flash, so glad I stayed up to vote I guess.

Been playing Arkham Origins while I waited for the next vote to come up. I started off being fairly ambivalent about it but as I near what I imagine is the end-game of the campaign, Arkham Origins has easily won me over. The story is really entertaining and the boss fights have been pretty awesome. The Electrocuitoner is still my favourite.

Agree with that. Felt much more like a proof of concept than a proper, full game. Its also only between 1-2 hours long.

But the concept *is* good.

Buy it from the game maker's website and use this page to get a steam key, pretty much what you would have got had it won with a few extra steps required. :)
