Is Dust a really hard game for people who are terrible at these types of games, like me? I'm pretty bad at any type of platforming games, double jumps, jumping to point A to point B, etc. I finished DuckTales Remastered last week and even on Easy I died quite a few times on the final boss because my timing is terrilble. Is it better for me to just avoid it? Just curious, thanks in advance.

EDIT: I see some discussion about this game from last page and I'm confused but I'll just focus on the question regarding the difficulty in the game.

Even the hardest difficulty is quite easy Monk.

The only people that care about furries are the people that did not grow up watching disney or loony toons shows and their only experience is furry porn.
I think inversely some grew up with that but feel the furry porn's contaminated the whole thing.

Still, that stuff's going to exist with anything, it's just a matter of making an effort to tune it out if it really, REALLY gets to you. Guess it'd suck if you knew someone that'd push it in your face or something though.

Nah, I grew up and loved that stuff but I definitely get the heeby jeeby vibes from the Dust artstyle. Still bought it because of the gameplay, but I cringe at the trailer's cutscenes.

Been playing it, not really any hard platforming. The focus seems to be the combat. Now I'm playing with KB/M and I feel it controls quite well with that set-up. I don't know how the game gets later.

Believe me if you think Dust looks anything like "creepy furry art" you, well, have not seen creepy furry art. To pass up on such a great game just because of the art style would be a shame, and I'm not just saying that as a furry myself (surprise surprise, though more of a Pokefur). It's a truly excellent (though perhaps somewhat shallow) game and an absolute steal at its current price, so at least try it before judging it.

I don't really fault people who don't like the art style, though, as visual appeal is a part of gaming. It's a nice game, but if you're turned off by the art, that's fine I'd say. I don't think you need to force yourself to play a game you don't enjoy looking at.

I always feel "accomplished" when I suddenly see a gif I made on GAF.

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.
Bought Tetrobot and Co. (no idea what it is)
If you like puzzle games at all, quit idling and play it. It's quite good.

If you don't like puzzle games, well, good luck selling. The reason the foil set is so expensive for Tetrobot is because there are two people (who I'm inclined to believe are both Wok!) have put cards on the market for $415.99 and are letting them sit there—not because the cards have actually SOLD for that much.

Thank you runnin_blue for Batman: Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately I have run into some problems redeeming games through the humble store. I had the same problem with Gemini Rue. These games are not being added to my Steam account.

Instead of giving you a key you have to sign into your Steam account through the humble site and then they add it to your library. I go through the necessary steps but it's not adding the games to my account. Anyone know what could be the issue?

It's a challenging platformer and I like the soundtrack. For less than a dollar, I'd recommend it.
There are far better difficultly-based platformers.

At some potin, ESJ starts to solely rely on player completing things with zero margin of error, which is a terrible design.

The visuals and soundtrack are awesome though, which is why I wish it had compelling gameplay.

Is it in your Humble account for sure? Also, try restarting steam.

I don't think I have the patience to finish the last three levels of Bit.Trip Runner, but I really enjoyed my time with it. The level of precision it requires is intense, and it leaves you feeling like some kind of platforming god. Excellent game, especially for a dollar.

I dont want to "start" anything (really I dont) but how old are people hating Dust and calling it furry and whatnot?

Maybe its because I grew up on

40 here.

Grew up with Thundercats but preferred G-Force, Voltron, M.A.S.K., Transformers, etc.

It's just an animation style I'm not a fan as it's distracting. For animal related stories, I prefer something more like Redwall, Watership Down, Maus, etc.

I probably shouldnt have used a loaded term like furry, I just mentioned it since it might help people remember the discussion last time around.

No offense intended, just an animation style I'm not a fan of personally. I'll likely miss out on a decent game as a result I realize, but it's like having someone who's not a shooter fan being recommended Half Life 2.. they may like it but it's a little harder for them to get into the game as a result.

With the game being story driven, that's why I'm a little hesitant as I can't see being too invested in the characters on a purely visual level. Everything else makes me interested (love the animation style, gameplay, darker storylines, etc)

Ah well.. one day. Again, apologies for the loaded language.

Finally crafted the Sale Badge. The items I got are, well.... I would have made WAY more money selling the cards. But I wanted the Badge so, my loss I guess.

Holiday Sale 2013 - Shark

But I decided to use some of the precious card money to buy me "Battle World: Kronos" (20,09€) for free. Now, with only 2,52€ left and this shitty badge stuff I'm a little depressed, I hope Kronos can get me out of there.

While Dust has a resemblance to Furry Art (such as the rounded faces and limbs), to say that it IS Furry Art is very lame.

And even then: who the great fuck cares?

Literally. Who the great fuck cares.
Seriously. It's become farcical that this same conversation happens every fucking time the game comes up. More time is spent talking about how much some people don't like the art style than about the merits of the game as a game.

I was at least partially joking, I did take a quick clance at it and it seemed enough fun/interesting to take a stab at that price. Cards are only a bonus.
Ok I did it for cards but maybe I'll like the game too

I am not undercutting. We will see. For some reason, foil cards are rare for this game.

I considered it at first, but realized the cards would sell higher in the beginning.

Near the end the prices are likely going to bottom out as people want to get something for them before they disappear.

Of course, there's the segment who's going to grab the dirt cheap globes and hope they can craft something worth selling. Presumably there's going to be more sellers than buyers at that point that prices will remain low.
