Who else has given Shelter a try? Did you like it?
So I won Mirror's Edge a few days ago. Time to give back just a bit. (There's a small chance this Super Hexagon code won't work for some reason; unlike the other two it's got a "not tradeable" sign in my inventory that says it can't be traded until Jan 23rd, but it generated the gift e-mail just fine. Let's find out!)
This game comes with both games. Get it on GOG, the drm on the Steam version is nasty
Is that worth it? I heard one of the games was really good, but I don't remember which one.
Escape From Butcher Bay is the good one. I played it for the first time earlier this year and it still holds up today. Is that worth it? I heard one of the games was really good, but I don't remember which one..
SteamStoom in Dutch just looks so weird.
I wasn't thrilled about the furries either, but they really aren't that bad. Some of them are actually kind of charming, and the story is much better than I was expecting. The combat is a tad repetitive but some of the boss battles are actually pretty clever and fun (not challenging at all though)Bought Brothers today... almost bought Dust but I just can't get over the furries. Does that make me a bad person?
Nope, you're able to go back into the world after you complete the game. It just saves right before the final boss and you can use those stone things to teleport anywhere elseIs there any point of no return in Guacamelee?
The only negative thing I have to say about Dust is that I thought the game got easy towards the end
No.Bought Brothers today... almost bought Dust but I just can't get over the furries. Does that make me a bad person?

Wasnt quite sure what i was supposed to be doing. Lost one of my young every "level" was eventually sad and alone. Got eaten by a bird.
Enjoyed it, is it possible to "win"? Do i need to keep the little ones alive?
I thought it was really charming though.

Lol2 hours or so, if that. Its quite short. Short but amazing, just like me in bed. Wait...
So AC3 was a bore fest, the 1st was poor, but the 2nd and 3rd were excellent - is AC3 not the 3rd then? They really are not bad games at all, bar AC3 which is just a borefest but still not terrible.
The first one was poor enough but the second and third games are excellent I found.
Lol

Any way to change graphical settings in Brothers?

Dark Athena has a remake of the Butcher Bay campaign included, so you're really getting two games there. The remake mostly changed just visual stuff so there's no reason to play the original over it. So yeah, just get Dark Athena if you're interested. They're both excellent games anyway so play them both; Dark Athena may be "worse" but is still great. Is that worth it? I heard one of the games was really good, but I don't remember which one.
Does the game ever stop being waves of trash mobs per zone? I've played like 45 mins and each zone is littered with trash that's not really enjoyable to kill over and over (they apparently all respawn each time you return) and it seems like you get locked in each section until you kill them. Also, the combat seems kind of spammy although the moves "look" cool. The game looks beautiful though, but I'm not feeling the gameplay so far.

Sounds a little like Muramasa!
Well I just went through all of Gunpoint in one sitting, that was pretty good.
About the Bridge. It uses something perspective physics and incapacitation mechanics (><) and basically is a puzzle game. Very nice feature is rewinding time back to see what went wrong and you can stop at any moment in time.
It starts mildly and if even there are some harder puzzles it's quit easy until reverse is added and it gets a little crazy and even crazier later on. A game does no handholding whatsoever.
As I already said, it has funny minimalistic art style and plays nicely.
I have a 780m and still has those issues. Its a mediocre port that never runs decently.Ah, that's sad. Was almost in the same boat. Just going to wait for Trials Fusion. What's your graphics card btw?
Between Gunpoint and Brothers, I am really starting to love single sitting games.
Can anybody think of any others? Games that are easy to finish in a reasonable single sitting? Like 2.5-3 hours or so?
Hopefully this is working.ModBot said:Instructions for participants:

I liked Evoland. 3 charming hours showing evolution of gaming and its cliches. For 2.49 its a perfect priceThinking about Evoland, the reviews are mixed. I'm fine with it being a short game, just want it to be fun.
