Steam Holiday Sales 2013 |OT2| DIE HARD (AND HAPPY NEW YEAR)

It seems that voting habits varies from cheapest to the one everybody has. It's like community is voting for games they know and played, multiple times desirably, of course if games are unknown, they vote for cheapest.

edited: beaten many times over.

I'm waiting for the day a Psychologist or a Psyquiatrist write a cientific article about the mass comportament of the Steam community during the sales.

Thanks a lot, but is it possible you screwed up with the raffle a bit? Because one entrant for Mark of the Ninja seems a bit low.

Most are indie bundle games, including Mark. Lots have them already.

EDIT: Also the 15 minute thing, I didn't even realize it was a lightning raffle.

With Euro Truck Simulator 2 75% off, and with me having put over 50 hours of playtime since I got it during the Autumn Sale, I went and bought the two paint packs.

What are those games even like? Do you plan routes with a cost and time efficiency being a goal, or are you actually just, like, driving a truck around Europe?

Good god everybody get cook serve delicious! that's a great price for it. It's one of the most intense games you'll ever play.

Wasn't made by a GAFer? If that's the case, I'll toss 2.50 his way, even if it isn't my cup of tea.

I can't believe the number of people complaining about Guacamelee's "difficulty". You'd think it was DMC3 crossed with Super Meat Boy or something. :lol

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.
Thanks, that sounds ok, but not sure if it's worth the additional $5 to double dip
It isn't, at least not yet.

The Director's Cut was built on the original release of the game, so it fails to incorporate a number of bugfixes that were made post-release. AFAIK they haven't finished patching it up yet, so since it would be a double dip for you, I'd hold off if I was in your shoes.

does anyone know if Euro Truck 2 can run on Mac through cider or some kind of skin? How does that even work with steam games. The first one works fine, kinda bummed the sequel isn't compatible.

Cook serve delicious is a really unique game and super cool

Cook Serve Delicious!

But if you have preferences for platformers, seems like Guacamelee is the better option.

Can't do no wrong with either one. I would say get Guac. There's a reason why I'd say this...you'll just have to find out later. =P

I only heard good things about guacomalee

Thank you guys for the input.

I think Rogue Legacy is far more difficult than Guacamelee.

Then again people also think Rayman is difficult and is "a well crafted platformer" :p

When you browse jobs, you can order them for total price or price per distance, so in a way you actually plan that. But once you pick a job, than you'll most likely just follow the GPS navigator.
Of course you're free to go wherever you please, but during a job, it isn't really advisable (as you could deliver late, or the more you drive the more you could crash somewhere, etc.)

Somehow it seemed like appropriate giveaway after steam died hard on us and we have some time to kill.

I think Rogue Legacy is far more difficult than Guacamelee.

Rogue is more about repetition, gathering enough gold to level your attack until you can 1-2 shot most enemies, as well as coming across the right blueprints. RL is the "play while watching things that may be porn on another screen" sort of game, while Guacamelee requires a greater level of focus to progress, mostly due to the platforming elements.

I still say that Rayman Origins is the best platformer I've come across, in the style of a "Mario"-type platformer since Super Mario World. :p

And yes, Rogue Legacy is WAY more difficult than Guacamelee.

I disagree.

You may have better stats or gear, but that won't save you if you're dexterous or careful. Hell, you can pretty much go far with your starting hero if you're very careful. The fact that the whole thing is randomly generated means you can't traverse the same entry twice.

I'm still burned by that game due to GAF recommendation. I can still feel the scars.

I loved Guacamelee on PS3 but actually stopped playing once I got to the later parts whre you had a ton of wall jumping with the dimensional swapping stuff... At some point it was just too much for me (I'm not much of a platformer guy but I love metroidvania)... That's really too bad cause I really loved everything else in the game.

Rayman Origins main problems was the reliance of the collect-a-tons breaking the pace of the levels. From what I've played of Legends, this was mostly fixed, at least in that regard.

True, making a run with your early characters (few deaths) would be very difficult and requiring genuine skill, but it's not completely necessary, outside of personal choice to play in such a way, and trying to mitigate the loss of time.

If I'm already 4-5 hours into XCOM: Enemy Unknown, how does Enemy Within factor into the campaign? Would I have to start a new game to see any of the expansion stuff?

Also, is it better to just beat vanilla EU first before seeing any of the EW content?

Woke up to a PM that I won Bastion! Wooooooohooooooo!!!! I really wanted to win that. Thank you emiranda061288! Congrats to the other winners of the raffle. :)
