I didn't have framerate problems though, and I bought it all of a couple of months ago.

Are there any Uplay games that aren't mandatory Uplay? I haven't had any problems with Uplay myself besides there being an update every time I go to play a game (sometimes more than once per day) but it would be nice if Uplay just didn't exist.
