I got to spend a couple hours with it this morning. I am really enjoying it and it is my first game in the franchise as well.

Screen quality is debatable. I've got an expensive 1080p monitor, a Surface Pro 2, a Galaxy S4, and a 3DS XL. The screen on the XL doesn't bother me at all.
But the image on both the 3DS and the 1080p monitor should look the same, except one is blown up bigger. That is, there aren't any sprite scaling problems on the 1080p monitor and no missing visual information on the 3DS. Though the due to the 16/9 versus 5/3 ratios, it seems levels would have slightly more viewable space on a 1080p display.
You're a long-time regular of these threads. How in the world do you not recognise PixelVision?

I live in the US and think that bets far fetched haha. I mean I really want them to win the next game, but after how they were playing in the last 2 games I definitely wouldn't make that bet haha.

I'm not sure how anyone can say the 3DS screen is alright. You can literally see the pixels when you're playing. Giant chunks!
Which would be acceptable if the screen was great colorwise but it isn't and most of the games don't have any antialiasing because the system isn't very powerful and so on.

I did the bet before it started cause I assumed if they got out of the group they would have a high that could carry them all the way but who knows! It's why I love football! Who would have ever thought Costa Rica would have got to a Quarter Final beating Uruguay and Italy on the way!

I did. Without Suarez, Uruguay is shit. Italy on the other hand are generally a shit side - so much talent but crap football.

Booted up Battleblock Theater for about 5 minutes. Seems like it could be fun. Really itching to climb shinras tower, play tomb raider, Skyrim, sleeping dogs, etc. I have so many to try/play that I ended up saying fuck it and booting up oracle of ages on 3ds. Lost in a dungeon, forgot what I'm doing so I thought I'd check out what you guys were up to.
Edit: Also quiche is too scared to gift me Ds 2, if he weren't such a chicken bawk bawk bawk he'd do it.

To tell you the truth it's rare that I even turn on AA in a game. I grew up looking at rough jagged edges and really have come to find it a charming aesthetic that comes to my mind as quintessentially video game. I realize I'm an oddity with that.
Though I'm fine with the 3DS screen, but that's mostly because I don't actively use any portable screen with better fidelity; going back to regular DS screens gets kind of harrowing, but then I get used to that again and find it fine as well.

Actually managed to finish a game I received the other day (Another World) yesterday/tonight depending on time zone, so so far it's not a bad start.
I'm never going to finish all of the Spiderweb Software titles I bought though :|

I must say, it feels nice being part of the SteamGAF community outside of the sales threads. Since I built my new PC in April I was lurking for a bit, but something about the summer sale topic brought it out in me to finally start posting in the SteamGAF topics. <3 SteamGaf.

I bought Ass Creed III, Bioshock triple pack, Witcher 2, and other assorted kickass games, then sat down, SGDQ on the second monitor, and played Tomb Raider. Yes, I mean the one that came out in 1996. I bought it at least a year ago >_>

I would say that it is good. The low-res pixal artwork is great and has an amazing atmosphere. The soundtrack is really good for helping out with the whole futuristic post apocalyptic setting. However, the interface is clunky and slow to respond at times. At least for me. The puzzles are okay I would say. I can't really comment on the story, because I still need to beat it.

Truthfully, I have no idea how I missed the title screen or anything like that.
I think I was switching between a bunch of games for the longest time, never realized until a saw a video of Dark Souls 2, the game that I played looked nothing like D2.
