2h reminder

Games included:
Skyrim (non legendary), 2x Defy Gravity, They Breathe, Mass Effect, Awesomenauts, Dead Island Epidemic
If you already own the game you win please give it away within SteamGAF. If there should be any problems (I still have that weird non-tradeable note on the gifts but could send them via mail so... not sure what Steam is up to) we'll work it out :)

Got Metro Redux bundle for 13 dollars last week so I am looking forward to August. Both games are great, will be interesting to see what is tweaked. Hopefully the adjustments to the stealth will make more people come to their senses and realize 2033 is the superior game :p

Title: Sick In NeoGAF And Thus The World Was Saved
Genre: Tournament
Targetgroup: Josei
Studio: ARMS
Episodes: 16

Original: Original Work
Director: Katsuhiro Otomo
Writer: Natsuo Kirino
Sold BD/DVD: 211
Comment: No Comment
Synopsis: Coming (not) Soon.

Derrick gets sick and tired of NeoGaf hype, what with Ubi downgrades and GearBox bullshots. He decides to set out to challenge the hype threads.

Game plays like danganronpa, in which he picks out the lies of astroturfers and the wrong information that fanboys spout.

At the end, he cleans up the hype threads and get everyone to see the truth. However, users complain and some mod bans him in the name of preserving a conducive environment to discuss upcoming games, whatever that means. NeoGaf lives happily ever after.

OR DO WE? CHIPMUNK TURN AROUND DRAMATIC MUSIC .WEBM
Cue cutscene where dozens of astroturfers begin to post in NeoGaf again, quite possibly the most blatant sequel-bait end-of-game cutscene yet.

Did they detail those versions? I get the 'HD Update' for consoles, but are they doing on PC?

2033 is being moved to the Last Light engine and they mention graphical tweaks for both versions so we will see how extensive they are. They're also adding some new modes, one that makes 2033 more actiony like Last Light and Last Light more subdued like 2033. Although again, we will see how extensive those changes are.

Here's the full details.

You get a 50% discount if you own Metro Last Light so it's actually cheaper to get the original release for $6 then get the redux for $12.

Sure but I guess it still depends on whether Metro: Last Light is worth $19 to you or not. I'm thinking it will get a nice discount very soon.

Oh God what happened this past week? All I remember is getting endorphins released every eight hours and now my wallet is empty.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.

That sounds pretty neat. I haven't played either of the original versions, though... well, I did dip my toes into 2033 a couple of years ago or so, however I wasn't happy with the performance on my GPU of the time (single 570).

Edit: For the new page:
I have a spare 50% off Lili: Child of Geos coupon if anyone here wants it. Be aware that as of about a month ago coupons now only last a week rather than two.

Edit: Oh, and -50% is equal to the game's Summer Sale discount.

damn that stage 5 in danmaku unlimited 2, thought I was doing great then I just got hit like 5 times in a row, go me.

Ikaruga is going to destroy me isn't it

edit: and danmaku unlimited 2 is hella fun and the difficulty seems just right, the bullet patterns and your ship are easy to see so evading bullets could be a joy, definitely worth the $2.50 I spent on it, I'm actually liking it more than crimzon clover but that's probably due to crimzon clover having a higher difficulty curve.

Never gave the Humble Store much attention, but does it usually have the idiotic 1$=1€ currency exchange rate or do devs decide regional pricing on that store? I can see why they want that 6.66€ pricing for Metro but well, I don't like it (obviously :D)

Use Hola to change the currency to dollar

I noticed that not all are 1$=1€, so it's probably not humble policy, just publishers doing their evil deed. Although, even better conversion rates are still not fair most of the times.
I would like to know why some publishers hate us, € people, so much.

Deep Silver gonna Deep Silver. As mentioned above use Hola or another VPN to pay in dollars.

I'd say it's like Steam, where USD$1 is automatically converted to 1 Eurobuck and for the most part developers/publishers don't take the time (or simply don't want) to set their own prices. Even indies are guilty of this.

I don't know if it's the devs or Humble, but their non-bundle pricing has always been poor since they moved away from just charging in USD. The UK prices are nearly always higher than the equivalent USD even with VAT taken into account.

I don't buy nearly as much there as I used to now.

By default, I believe Humble uses their own, fair conversion rate, but publishers can opt out of this. I was very disappointed to see Double Fine be one of the few indies to use regional pricing on there.

My advice for Crimzon Clover: Swallow your pride and play on Novice. I love shmups but I'm not super good at them, and CC's Novice difficulty is just right (comparable to Danmaku Unlimited 2's base difficulty). I started out playing on Normal and got to like Stage 2 before losing all my lives. On Novice I had an amazing run to Stage 5 before losing, and felt like I really learned a lot about the game. Still my favorite game I got from the sale.

In either case, after the whole Broken Age OST snafu, I'm not shocked that DF travelled the less ideal path.

Hmm. I'm not a big fan of Last Light, but I would replay 2033 if they completely change on of the last levels where you need to escort some guy with those bubble-like enemies. God, I hated it so much.
