There you were, you just learned how to navigate the current dungeon, found as many of its secret items and equipment as you can, you have currently the best equipment available and figured that tough boss' attack patterns. You had died 3 or so times but eventually you triumphed with over 50% health left!
Then the cutscene occurs, by then it's 1 AM, you think to yourself 'If I go to bed now I can get a good 8 hours sleep before waking up for work!'
...but you appear near a save point in what appears to be a cave, it's quiet, you think to yourself 'Hmm well let me just take a quick look at this new dungeon', you walk out of the cave THEN YOU HEAR IT!

As much as I want the game, I'd actually be pretty damn excited about that scenario!
My perfect eye for games tells me that Leave Home is probably the best of the bunch, but I have it on XBLIG and it's not very good beyond looking pretty.
You can tell from the video that the Waffles game, which might be second best, has far sloppier controls than SMB does and it'd probably just be disappointing if you've spent any amount of time with SMB.
yeah you're right, looks like the steam "complete bundle" removed them but keys from other websites still have GTA 1 and 2.

Don't know anything about most of those, but I had a great time with 1000 Amps. It's an interesting little puzzle platformer with some metroidvania aspects.

Which Ys should I play first?
Oath in Felghana is a great starting game, then Origin.
Ys 1 and 2's combat system may not appeal to everyone but at least get those 2 I mentioned above.
Heck support the dev and maybe get all 3, you might open up to Ys 1 and 2's combat, who knows!

What because it has a third higher resolution and higher AA it makes it massively better does it? In relation for me when I played though both they weren't at the same time and even though the 360 version did look and run better it's not that the PS3 version is a disaster and was perfectly playable if not comparable. Throwing numbers around isn't really going to tell you how something plays now does it.
Now for me the very fact The Darkness II is designed around a controller for it's gunplay and powers made it pain in the arse to control without remapping the controls through. Sure it's subjective but the are designed around a controller layout first and foremost. Good for you that they're great but there is an issue for a few people with this and was brought up in several reviews, on 2K's own support site and I personally had issues with it.
Someone brilliantly evil would have reversed the keys.
