The whaling mini-game in AC: Black Flag is oddly compelling. I mean. On the one hand I find it distasteful, but on the other hand it's totally badass. Very realistic portrayal of whaling, I imagine.

Meh, Codemasters gets no love from me right now. They've been converting Dirt 3 into Steamworks for over a year and a half now. How long can it really take? I mean sure, they don't have to do that but they did kind of promise it ages ago and have had GFWL removal FAQ up on Steam forums for well over a year now.

Yeah but their team got significantly cut. It's probably not high on their priority list consequently.

I've played the others but I personally prefer the style of act zero. The OG bomberman as iconic as he is, never did much for me. I just like generic "EXTREME" shit I guess.

So I like the other games, but this is my favorite version of him. Since NES box art bomberman doesn't really exist.

Finished Hard Mode in Hotline Miami 2. Instantly became one of my rarest achievements. That was tough as nails, but so worth it. I appreciate the game a lot more now than I did after the first play through on normal, and I think most of my - and a lot of others - initial criticism (too much open areas, gunplay, baiting) was a bit off, and does not apply once you get the real feel of the game.

It takes longer to master than the first one, but I can't fault the design of it, except maybe the military levels which are a bit locked down and boring (but far more fun with the flame thrower)

My favorite part about this game, and what surprised me the most, is their dedication to the game's atmosphere. It takes place in a more or less fictionalized version of the town I live in and I have to say their attention to those details is extremely impressive. When I played episode 1, I got the sense that this could all be happening right across town. For me at least, that added a huge emotional connection to the game that wouldn't be there otherwise.

It's definitely niche, but the people who loved it like I did, and the people who are making the private server, will always. Lol

You don't need to. They have a the Japanese client available for download on the site. (In this case, I believe it's legal since SEGA put it out for free near the end of the game's life cycle) Though if you want to be like me, and have the English version, you need to buy it (as I did, long ago) or pirate it. Either works with the server. I imagine if you want to buy it, you need to do so through Amazon (Buy Ambition of the Illuminus, not the original).

Surprisingly, enough people are on it to crash the server regularly. Though that's likely due to it being nowhere near complete, and is basically a glorified chat room with an infinite roulette casino table for everyone to use in it's current condition. Lol

I didn't think there was a worse AC game besides 1 and 4 but Liberation is really a hell of a turd. I know it was a Vita game before being brought to the consoles and PC but that doesn't mean it has to be boring and lifeless. Hell, even that ok Batman Blackgate thing was more enjoyable than this so far. The story seems like a complete afterthought from the 4 hours i've put in and the gameplay is pretty much just "kill 5 guards without being spotted" done over and over again.

I'll finish this thing up, but boy does this series need some sort of quality control or something
