the action in AOTC is at least competent. TPM's biggest crime, above all of the many that it has, is that it's boring as shit.

I don't like any of the 3 movies, but im much more willing to watch II and III because at least they're as entertaining as they are insipid.

yeah 70 minutes of poorly written romance and whining is friggin' intense

I'd be more worried about my kids posting in GAF's OT. Or buying Activision games.

Also E2 is the most unwatchable SW movie of them all. I'd rather sit through the Ewoks spin-offs.

yeah but the parts with the action are better. everything else is terribad. the problem with TPM is that the action is bad, too, with maybe the final duel being ok.

No, the action in 2 is horrible.
Hell, I rewatched all 6 movies a few weeks ago, and 1-3 have aged terribly.
Bad acting, bad script, bad CGI.
4-6 still remain strong, however.

Sometimes it seemed they could have dropped some superfluous puzzles, but all in all they were so easy and straightforward that I didn't mind them.
What I minded was the collectibles that basically forced me to spam the A button all the time, killing the suspension of disbelief.

But who cares, dem feels >>>>> every possible shortcoming of the game.

i dunno i felt like the game was kind of insulting in how dumb its puzzling was so i'm less pleased with it than u

i wanted to like it but it's so fucking boring to play :T

Which of the Modern Warfares (except CoD4) and Black Ops would be worth playing, if any?

What's this about? If it helps performance then I'm all ears.

Someone found the memory address that was kicking the game down to a 33ms update if you went over a certain power limit. Effectively if you have the GPU grunt now the game wont kick down to 30fps at about 65-70% utilisation. It's not perfect and there's still spotty areas but I'm willing to give it a whirl. Problem is that the dude posted it in a general 'Performace Sux!!!' thread so finding it is turning into a bit of a pain.

Activision sale always means trying to guess which license gets pulled first.

Steamspy says Korra sold between 60-70k copies so I'm guessing that's a candidate.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 sold 50-60k, which is half it's prequel.
Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark sold less than 20k copies.

Which one goes first?

Alright guys tough decision here. I never really played or got into Witcher 1/2 or Arkham asylum/city/origins. Which series should i finish in anticipation of their respective upcoming sequels?

Also should i skip any titles (i.e. witcher 1)?

jshackles

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Knowing Activision they'll probably all be gone at the same time, without notice. But I think that if anything gets pulled it'll be Jan 1 so there's still time for some fire sales. JaseC might be able to provide some more insight on that though.

With the Amazing Spiderman movie franchise being dead I don't see Activision renewing it. I think they might still renew Transformers. Despite Rise of the Dark Spark selling badly the other ones still make good numbers on sales I believe.
Dunno about Korra.

Opps, sorry veggie. I was on my daily (yes daily) Lightning Returns PC info search and saw it pop up and just posted it in here without reading others and your posts.
Haha, no worries. It was a more cheek-in-tounge comment on how I read that exact phrase so often here :)

But you should go to a Doc about your FF fixation.
For someone who claims their DS characters are equipped purely on "style"... I have to say, I'm not feelin' your style. :p
Haha. DS1's wardrobe doesn't offer as much snazz as DS2's ;)
Sometimes I wonder why Activision does what it does. Then I see my activity feed and understand.
Sure. "The people" on your activity feed... ;)
I'd be more worried about my kids posting in GAF's OT. Or buying Activision games.
You better start being a good example then.
Can you link me to which texture mod you used? I just wanna check if I already have it.
Of course.

If you need help how to set things up just hit me here or on Steam.

So does that mean Beenox is a CoD studio now lol?

I still hope for a true AAA Marvel Spider-Man game by a good studio and Josh Keaton voicing Peter.

I still never figured out who added Call of Duty games to my wishlist ages ago. This was back when I got back into PC gaming when my account was barren aside from TF2 and like Fairy Solitaire. All of the COD games were on my wishlist though. Maybe I did it and just don't remember. That or someone took my account and realized it was pointless since nothing was on it.

I've heard good things about COD2, I think I'm just going to bite the bullet on that one.
I played through COD4 last year, and I found that it didn't hold up. Given that COD4 is considered to be the best in the series, I don't see any of the latter entries surpassing it.

I'm thinking all three will get the axe at the end of the year.

I'm torn on Korra. It's a Platinum title and it will inevitably be removed from Steam, but it's mediocre and locked to 1080p/60 due to Platinum's ignorant ideology.

Campaign: 8-9 hours
Coop/Multiplayer: Yup but it's pretty dead
Should I buy any DLC? Nope, it's all for the coop and multiplayer. Just buy the base game unless you can rope a bunch of people in to play with.
Cards? Just updated to include them, the main reason for the sale and my replaying the game. Well, that and it's pretty fun.
Do I need to know anything about Warhammer 40k to enjoy this game? Nope, I knew next to nothing about Warhammer 40K before playing and loved the hell out of this game.

Space Marine is a somewhat unique third person shooter for its time because it kind of ignores the dominant design theme of its genre. There's no sticky cover, no pop and shoot fire fights or regenerating health behind cover. Every encounter in Space Marine starts off as a fire fight that quickly devolves into a melee scrum because the waves of enemies thrown at you are generally pretty huge (and all sound like British soccer hooligans). The only way you can regenerate health in Space Marine is through melee executions or use of your Fury meter. Melee combat is super simple but satisfying, think Dynasty Warriors. You have one melee attack that you can combo up to four times, after any one of those melee attacks you can stun an enemy, only stunned enemies can be executed. The variety of ways in which enemies explode into gibbly little bits is what makes this game so damned fun...

Space Marine doesn't really force you to use any specific weapons, before major fire fights there are weapon caches where you can completely change your weapon load-out. So each fire fight is a fun little sandbox with whatever weapons you feel like using. The only thing the game is miserly with is its jet pack sections, there are only a few but they are so damned fun. The only real let-down in Space Marine is the final boss but it' a fun ride up to that point.

TLDR: thumbs up, totally worth eight bucks and some change.

That sounds great! The fps dumps were a bit much for me before. Might deserve a thread or at least an OT bump if you can track it down again.

That's the one with the Omaha Beach landing, right? I remember I played that around the time when it launched. Epic. I really enjoyed the first couple of Call of Duty games, actually.

Why cover and cower like filthy xeno scum when the Emperor protects?

It's 10% off and has a pre-order bonus

it'll be like $25 on Nuuvem with the same pre-order bonus

people already got burnt by pre-ordering Arkham Knight on GMG for like $40-something before it came to Nuuvem for $28

alls im sayin. don't pre-order a game as soon as it pops up specially 7 months in advance dude. It can only get cheaper.

Is the Black Ops 2 campaign worth $20?

$20 is a lot for any single CoD campaign, but given the discount cycle for the series $20 is probably the lowest it will go for the next few years so I'd say go for it. I just played through it this weekend, it's a pretty fun campaign (I've been going through the series via gamefly and it's one of the better ones so far), with some neat ties to BO1 and some pretty fun missions.

TLDR: thumbs up, totally worth eight bucks and some change.

Looks like it also just got Steam cards in the last few days, too, so that's another plus.

Just Caus 3 is a Square Enix game. It will be 50%off in two months and 75%off in four :p

well, yeah, Arkham Knight will probably also drop to half in 6 months

problem is: that "price drop" will happen on Steam, so it'll barely match the price one can pay to pre-order elsewhere

I think they will still have the license until December at least.

I don't know which is first but I've heard that the Amazing Spider-man movie license is gone come this summer. Even if not, they can pull the license without any warning.
