I ended up pushing through to the end only to give up on the final boss. I got bored and gave up. FP would have been a much better game if they cut levels in half and made bosses optional.

I always thought Hell Yeah! was a really good modern version of agenesis/Mega Drive game. Freedom Planet just strikes me as a sonic game in everything but name only and after having played Sonic 4: E1 recently, no thanks

Remembered about ShadowPlay and salvaged some parts of Square-Enix's new "The Witch" (Agnis Philosophy) Tech Demo utilizing DirectX 12.

You might think "What has this to do with this thread?" but there is a realistic chance that what has been shown is from a future PC build.

Well, i'd be stepping into the series starting at FM3 since it's the first one that was localized here in the west and it's easy to acquire through PSN. So i guess i will need to maybe read up on the anime storyline before jumping in it seems.

i'd say you don't really need to play them in order or anything, but it's better if you play fm1 first since basically all the other games branch off that

also it's the best one

imo fm1 > fm4 > fm3 > fm5 (haven't played 2)

i think fm5 might not be terrible but the translation is sadly kind of bad and the story ended up being super crap for me :/

And still flipping between 60 and 30fps at 1920x1080. To be fair they weren't ever made with PC in mind what ever has been said. Loads of games that have tried to implement framepacing via locks has caused massive issues for me

It's farrrrr from an Anime Storyline. More like "Political" storyline.

Like the other poster said: the main story for each of the games is pretty self-contained, but there is characters/nations/politics that carry over between the games.

Honestly, you should probably start with Front Mission 1st on the DS which is a port of the remake on PSX from the original SNES release. This would at least let you get the "improvements" from FM1 to 3 and then go 4 (and then fan translate 5?)

, but just following and destroying this or protecting that. It's been awhile.

There's really 0 excuse for the poor performance of the FFXIII games, though. They were both ported to the 360, a system that lends itself MUCH better in regards to PC ports than the PS3 does. Take that version, bring it over to PC, and then plug in the PS3's video cutscenes. It shouldn't be hard, High Voltage could do it for the price of peanuts on an airplane.

Regarding porting FFXV over, please do it. That way we can mod Cidney to not be boobie fanservice girl and make her dress more like a damn mechanic. who repairs mechs in a damn swimsuit top?!?!

No. Square-Enidos stated they were thinking about it, but FFvs13 (er-"15") was always a "console exclusive."

That said, I wouldn't be surprised, the writing has been on the wall that Square-Enidos needs diversify and port every. fucking. where they can get their hands on.

I would be very surprised if XV was never ported to the PC. Look for a similar bussines plan to GTAV, deny until the very last minute to maximize console sales.
