Yeah, they likely won't show up. I reckon that they are not going to do much till Vulkan gets sorted properly, and then whatever game they roll out will be a showcase for it on the platforms that support it.

Overwatch is fun like any other MP only game is fun-- usually not worth $60
Very few games are MP only that I can justify buying.

Overwatch is 40 tho. Im sitting on a key and I dont think Ill have time to play, maybe when im off work this weekend, plus im strangely into Darksiders 2 right now. Im usually not into multiplayer games tho (the few months I spent on heroes were the exception) and already seeing "omg im so good and my team is so bad stop being bad people that just got the game 5 minutes ago" comments is completely turning me off even trying it. Like I said, im not a MP guy.
Haha yeah, it's usually not that bad when you actually play the game. It can be fun with randoms. Reaper as a hero is insufferable though, so edgy and Blizzard, ugh... he's the main reason I might not want to buy this,... yes... so bad.

Maybe Overwatch is $60 on consoles but it'll be the definitive version just like Diablo 3 console version.
Multiplayer only games like overwatch are a bit of a problem for me. It's a well made game and very fun, but I need more content than just killing people on the same maps.
I'm not really interested in earning tags/emotes/skins or whatever.
Also people are already starting to call everyone idiots online and on forums it'll just be pointless and endless talks about how overpowered this or that hero is.
So boring.
I hope they use the world for other games at least.

Holy shit, Overwatch is an actual Team Fortress 2 Killer. But no, I won't say it is "better" than Battleborn; both games are doing very different things for very different audiences.
Man Portal 2 PS3 announcement was how many years ago? And that was before they went all in for Dota 2.

Now is a good time for them to announce a new game. They put a lot of work into VR, SteamOS, Steam controller, Steam Link and bunch of other Steam related stuff in the past few years. Now that all that hard work is behind them they should return to focusing on new games.
It better be a new ip if its not Half-Life 3 tho. Those other games like Portal and L4D don't really need sequels.

also idk, i feel like gearbox got a lot of (deserved) shit for games they didn't fully develop like duke nukem and aliens, so while that's super shitty, it doesn't exactly mean that something they'll work on 100% will be bad?

That may be because you're in Germany and Bethesda has retroactively region-locked what was originally the universal Doom pre-order sub (Wolf14 should still appear in your library, though, even if it is rather useless). If Bethesda doesn't have Valve transfer all affected users to the new sub, you'll have to request a refund and buy it yourself. You won't even be able to play Doom with your usual IP otherwise.
They might unveil the revision of the Steam Controller. Looking forward to it, though going by Valve's developing speed, it might take a few years for it to come out.
It is easy to be at 88% if there are next to no worthwhile reviews. The steam score is also inherently self selecting at this point, especially with the relatively small community it seems to have.

Overwatch needs some more modes. Territory and Escort have turned into dying as soon as you spawn more than once in the batches I have played.
Yeah, the maps are not very well balanced either, it's often a chokepoint fest.
