nothin. jett getting the same thing

moving the game to the SSD (which I wont even bother doing again) turns this issue into a "15 minutes into the game" thing rather than right at the top. nothing more

as for your comment: people are actually reporting they were getting better performance on release

edit: I got stuff like Mad Max on this same hard drive running at bliss 60fps with absolute max settings and 0 stuttering or any single frame drop, so it aint the drive either.

Oh man. That's so messed up.

Classic Salsa.

Blaming devs for playing on a potato of a PC.

Does every studio have to account for peasant specs like a 680?

Step your game up fool!

I'm just going to watch a let's play of Arkham Knight, there's no way I'm going to play this game at this point. Really shitty of WB and Rocksteady all around.

What I'm curious about is the performance in the final third of the game. That's when it became a stuttery mess for me, with seconds-long pauses during combat and hitchiness while moving around.

This is how the game performed for me at launch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsDZJZYguqw

Now, I was running it off an SSD then. Now on a standard HDD, I get bad stutter and random frame drops into the single digits. Similar to Salsa's, but not as bad. Don't feel like moving it to the SSD to see if that fixes it, because it shouldn't be required.

I tried it with the interim patch and as I said last page all it does is somewhat delay the issue to after being a bit more into the game

it's a fucking memory leak, basically. Or at least it acts as one

A true shit-show of a port, still. Feels like they just pushed the game out before the holidays to try and score some extra sales from a few suckers.

I finished AK in release state on my pretty old PC, I think I have a 680ti. Had relatively little/no problems running mostly low. My plan was to do a bunch of the extras and NG+ once it was optimized and bugs worked out but now I'm scared to even try if it's worse :p

Even having everything on max at release with my 680, it was way better than what you're having Salsa so no idea.

This whole AK fiasco is beyond egregious. I hope people don't forget this.

The only way to play DmC.

i'll probably buy 8 more gigs of ram soon

will report when I have like 10 sticks

Just shove more ram in until the problems go away.

ive verified plenty that im not alone + every single other game running flawlessly so.. yeah, it aint me

I'm sure it's not you, I just am wondering what is causing it since we have (almost?) the same card and AK worked better for me than a lot of people on high-end systems. Like, I could even play the game on high settings and would get stutters but it was arguably playable, just annoying.

I think I now know why my 14 year old cousin speaks Spanish with such weird mannerisms. He learned all his Spanish watching video games and cartoons, which were translated from English to Spanish. I guess it would be like if I learned English just watching Japanese to English anime dubs. I guess I never noticed before since I watch I never watch stuff that's been dubbed in Spanish.

this will be the console owners vs pc argument in the future

It could be anything. BAK's code is held together by string and prayers. Trying to analyse it rationally would be the height of futility.

12GB for a smooth experience, mind.

Depots still exist on the backend, and the devs are still standing by that owners will have both the original and this edition, so I can only imagine they're fumbling their way towards fixing the problem they had with getting Redux out to previous owners.

EDIT: There's still an active sub you can attempt to use to buy it, which claims I don't own it, so they haven't been able to fix the issue yet.

Looks like they just added Redux for buyers of original version.

Those damn sirens in Witcher 3 must be the new cliffriders right? Sailing around picking up treasure and almost broke my controller.XD

WB couldn't nuke the reviews, so they marked all of them as pre-release to try and discredit the negativity. "It's different now, we promise" is basically what they're trying to get across. (Edit: To be clear: this is my take on it, nothing is confirmed.)

I'd also like to point out that the "compensation" for Arkham Knight owners is actually a promotional offer to purchase Batman: Arkhman Knight right now (from the Steam page):

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

That's some shit, right there. And this is coming from someone who doesn't own the game or have any inclination to play it.
