For reference, here are the following games that Acquire (Way of Samurai 4) has developed
Various Tenchu games
Shinobido, successor to Tenchu series
It's like Dungeon Keeper but with the idea of protecting the villain (Badman) from the invading heroes
Class of Heroes, with 2 being the better game and with a PS3 ver. released IIRC
Available on PSN at least, but you know you want this GAF.
I don't mind baby steps or if takes a while but I do hope Acquire will invest more into Steam in the future =)

And it's not like "poor man's version of Game X" is always a bad thing. (See also: Briggs, Marlow.) Of all the games to create a poor man's version of, Persona should be pretty high up on the list.

Skip mode is for multiple playthroughs. So you can skip past the parts you have already seen in the previous paths and only bother with the content exclusive to that path. No idea how Hatoful Boyfriend implemented it, but in most VNs this feature will only skip dialogue you have seen before in previous playthroughs, and still play new lines normally.
Does the game have voice acting? If not, I could see why they wouldn't bother with auto advance.

Finally pulled the trigger on Call of Juarez. There is one code left on ebay for $5.
Oh, I know what skip mode is for (and unlike most skip modes, this one just skips EVERYTHING, seen or unseen), it just boggles the mind they have that prominently, but no auto play mode. And even if it doesn't have voice acting, having an auto advance mode is the most basic service you provide your players.
It's not like clicking or hitting enter every single fucking line is "gameplay" or interactivity, and if you already have skip mode, it takes like 2 minutes to program in an auto mode =p

Eh, for a game without voice acting, I would find an auto mode more annoying, because it wouldn't advance at the speed I read at. It only really feels necessary in a game with voice acting, to prevent awkward pauses in dialogue.
But you're right, it's so little effort to implement, that there's really no reason not to have it as an option.
I don't know why it would just skip everything though. That sounds really dumb, and it would make doing multiple routes really annoying.

I was going to trade keys for it yesterday till I read about how it takes a turn for the worse as you gain in rank and play with the big boys.
Well, it's actually worse.
It skips stuff you haven't seen yet, but stops skipping at every scene change.
And there are many, many scene changes, so even for a multiroute Xth playthrough, you have to keep hitting the damn skip button too.
Tebura mode is useful for voiceacting-less games too, then you can just let it run and do something else in the mean time, still getting all the text and story

Mind Zero. This was originally released on PS Vita but is sadly mediocre-ly recieved. It's like a poor man's Persona 1 from what I recall.
Incidentally enough, this is fro Acquire who made Way of the Samurai 4.
They also made...AkibaStrip...which is releasing on PS3, PS Vita nd PS4

Kinda bummed I missed Hexcells Plus in the indie royale bundle.
Oh dear lord, I just had a horrible thought. I bought Dead Rising 3 with keys from the russian bear and waiting for it to activate. Now I think it's over the time, but what if it can't ever activate, because I am german and germans don't get the game naturally, so it just stays deactivated forever and ever. D:

Haven't popped into the thread in a while so don't know if ya'll are aware of this or not but just in case thought ya'll would like to know that there is a new weekly humble bundle available. This one is for Rock, Paper, Shotgun and features World of Goo, Dungeons of Dredmor, Audio Surf, & Armageddon Empires with the tier 2 games being Amnesia: The Dark Decent, AI War: Fleet Command, and Teleglitch: Die More Edition.
Picross is basically also Sudoku x Minesweeper, but on a square grid. If you have a DS or 3DS, try out Picross DS (preferable) or Picross e on the 3DS eShop. Then if you like it, try Picross 3D, which is an awesome twist on traditional Picross.

I don't know anything other than what I have read. That's after rank 15, you are pitted against 15 and up, and it gets very frustrating, that seasoned people exploit glitches. Again, just what I read. Most of the steam threads are complaints about this stuff.

Just to clarify, the way MP is structured isn't ranked only. Just pop open the server list and hop in somewhere. It's the same as CSGO, ranked play is only an issue if you already care about it.

That would really suck. It does seem like the sort of thing that Germany would maybe not get unless they release a censored version though.

Just got my brand new copy of 999 in my hands. To be quite honest, I don't really believe the game can live up to all the hype, but I'll give it a chance anyway. After I read the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, that is.

There were a few random interviews where they implied they'd look into releasing it for different unspecified platforms when asked about PC. Nothing concrete in other words, but it's more likely now for N++ to potentially be ported over to Steam with it being much bigger nowadays than it was during N+'s heyday.
