liezryou's avatar says russian bear. I think its a lovely nickname o(≧▽≦)o

Few pages old, but to be fair I'm not actually russian. I just decided to use this as my avatar on a whim lol. I thought it was awesome :3. I guess it caught on quite nicely.

In Wisconsin and Michigan (and a bit of Minnesota) you basically trip over cheese curds.

Not a lot of poutine to order, however. I've only had it at one or two places in the midwest.

I live in Michigan. Not really many cheese curds here. I've definitely heard it's true for Wisconsin though.

The wrong parts of Michigan apparently.

(Though I was more referring to upper Michigan. Should have said.)

Also the bundles are lovely. I should give back for all the games I've won recently.

Yeah it runs like crap. I got a blue screen from just alt+tab out of the game. Then I couldn't pause the game at all.
.

Doesn't it run like crap on the XB1 as well. 720p/30 fps with dips or somthing like that?

No experience with games from that studio but sounds like they just suck at optimization all around regardless of platform.

I can't get DR3 to even launch. I had it fully preloaded, but when I loaded up steam, it was showing 24.9/25.0 GB downloaded. Only it won't actually download anything. When I click "Play" it pulls up the updating prompt, but the estimated time of completion just keeps counting up.

Hah, yeah right. Americans don't produce cheese curds at all, despite having whole states dedicated to dairy production. So anything that passes as poutine in America is just melted-ass jank mozzarella on gravy potatoes. Not the real thing.

So did we ever find out why the ArcheAge packs got pulled from the store? Just got notice that it is in open beta now, but there's still nothing to be found on Steam.

"I'm a stealth game!" "Except I'm not, not really!"

Did you play on the hardest difficulty? Stealth is most certainly needed because enemies kill you in a few hits and are very accurate. You've got maybe 2-3 seconds to kill someone before they kill you. Combine this with swarms of guys alerted to your position and you're not going to get very far. If you are a very good twitch shot it may be possible to disregard stealth. What was shitty about the game was the linear levels and the frequency of non-stealth-able segments. I know the former has been remedied in SE3, so I am ready to give it a shot once I get to it in my backlog.

wisconsin is a weird land

i never quite get if it's in the us or not :I

stupid american television
The two things I came away with from travelling through Wisconsin is that the landscape is beautiful and there are lots of highway-side porn shops.

When I drove from Georgia to Florida, the billboard advertisements were either

1) Chicken restaurants
2) God-related
3) Erotica superstores located in the next few exits

The last two, not coincidence.

It had something to do with them randomly charging thousands of customers 150$ out of the blue.

Are you gonna buy them, just play them, try to complete them or what? Cause I'll tell you right now, it takes about 50 hours to 100% Lego Marvel.

Yah, but it's doable. Lego movie on the other hand, everytime I boot it for the 100%, it feels like I'm slowly fading away in a sea of endless boredom.
I swear if TT does not rekindle with the quality of Lego Batman 2 for Lego Batman 3...

Hah, yeah there are a lot of billboards for those along the interstates in Florida aren't there?

Apparently it's like that everywhere, because that is the same thing I saw going from North Dakota -> Minnesota -> Wisconsin -> Illinois

Also went through Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri a few years ago, but mostly saw god and chicken adverts.

aw I missed that wasteland 2 giveaway :( anyway, I just got back from setting up the parts I have for my bro's pc(i have the case, motherboard, and graphics card). boy was it tricky to set up, I was so nervous that I'd screw up one of the parts(mainly the motherboard which felt super sensitive). Now all he's missing is 4 parts(ram, hdd, processor, and power supply) and he'll officially be a pc gamer. :) he's super excited, and so am I (I'm mostly excited because this is my first time building a pc). I'm not looking forward to putting in the processor, that looks extremely sensitive. :x Well I'm going to sleep now steamgaf(after reading the op for that smash demo impression thread) so good night guys, I'll talk to you folks later (since its already 12:30am in nyc :p)

As a big fan of the original shadowrun games, I was disappointed with the linearity of shadowrun returns... is dragonfall worth checking out?

Didn't play neither yet, but consensus seems to point in this direction yeah. Players and critics reception and the fact that they are doing a Director's Cut of Dragonfall seems to say that the first game was just a bad draft.

I'm not looking forward to putting in the processor, that looks extremely sensitive. :x

Boy would I shit my pants with the thermal past.

On another note, JaseC, or any collecta-bros, I have a question concerning Assassin's Creed III. I'm playing it at the moment and if there is something unclear and underdeveloped in the tutorial it's the craft. I hear that you can level up your artisans, and that there are prerequisite to do so, special missions. That, I understood.
What isn't clear is if these special missions are missable in any way ?
This is not helping :

What the fuck means 'Summer only' ? Can I miss and not play it if I play too much of the main game ?

It's so wonderful to see some bird-loving in the form of a PM, especially after a hard day of work.

Big thanks to ANuclearError! =] I promise to drink some Imperial Stout and stream some Hatoful Boyfriend Saturday night. I'll provide a link here beforehand.

My memory is a little foggy, but I don't remember missing any mission regarding the Homestead. I also only dabbled into crafting later on, since it's fuckall explained in the game like you've noticed.

JaseC IS the resident AssCreed expert, so his memory of III should be much more expansive.

Have you tried playing around with SLI bits for DR3?

Nah, not yet. I don't have the space to install it, haha, as I still haven't replaced my buggered Steam drive.

I know I did them all but I can't remember how they work exactly. They're not missable, though, as the game ends in Summer and none of the missions require Winter.

My long-term memory is only useful when it comes to Valve stuff or Saoirse stuff. :(

Lol, the paste is what worries me the most. From what I understand, too little can screw up the processor and too much can overheat it x_x going to end up watching like 10 youtube videos and like 5 different picture guides of it just so I don't fuck that up.

aw I missed that wasteland 2 giveaway :(

I was scrolling through as I was prepping this post and saw that wasteland 2 giveaway.
My first reaction was "HOLY SCHNIKES, WHEN DOES IT END?!"
And then my reaction was "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!"

Anyway, I'm having a bit of trouble picking out the next game I should play -- figured I'd bounce the list off you guys and see if you have any good suggestions.

There's two lists, one is of games I started at some point but did not reach the end of and the other is games that are #NEXT UP for one reason or another. I'm willing to consider any in the list if you guys have any strong recommendations:

Witcher 2 and Dustforce for sure. Dustforce is an amazing speedrunning style game and the achievements are tough. Witcher 2 is just an overall amazing game if you haven't played it before. Dustforce also isn't too long, but I spent alot of times on the levels always trying to going for perfect runs. It gets addicting.

Someone who's put down an offer for my Stomping Land spare has a spare copy of CSI: NY. Let's see if I can get lucky.

Applying thermal paste is not a hard step at all. Putting a heatsink on is.

I'm going the watercooling route when I upgrade again. I'm over unwieldy HSFs (I currently have an NH-D14).

Well, it's your most defining feature!

Haha, that's true.

Edit: Oh, Mario got back to me earlier and said that the Rugby Challenge games were pulled due to a (team?) licence expiring, but the offender may be pulled from the games so they can be sold again (it's not likely but it's something that is being considered).
