150 games and nothing I wanna play. What is wrong with me.

I am just under 100 and feeling the same. I pretty much only play Dark Souls 2 right now lol.

I won't talk about how I have 3 console generations worth of backlog...like hundreds of games. It is sad!

I've been playing Dark Souls 2 recently as well, even though I'm taking it very very slowly.

dark souls 2 is pretty decent

personally i liked it less than dks1 and demons but i still beat it like 4 times and have like a ton of random characters i've taken to like 5 or 6 bosses and abandoned so it's pretty good

my goty thing right now is kind of a tie between shovel knight and dks2

maybe if dks2 didn't have that fucking spider dungeon

Show and tell time. Injustice with SweetFX on and off for comparison. I'm never gonna be able to play with SweetFX off. I just can't.

That fresh thread smell. Anyways, I want to get Dead Rising 3, but I'm thinking I should just wait until it releases and see how optimized for PC it is, since there seems to be no pre-order incentive as it is.

Ok, so I had too much time and too little sense so I made a little thing there, like I did some months ago. Evidently now that the OP is spotlighting some games my thing is not as cool. You be the judge, I had some fun making it for myself, why not share it ? If it annoys anybody, it will go the way of the dodo, if people like it it will maybe come back or I could make a little thread. Well, anyways, it's time for the picture porn.

~ What will you be playing this September ? ~

Thank you. This is more useful than the section in the OP because it lists more games. Please keep doing it.

Out of the listed games I'm interested in Dead Rising 3, Reprisal Universe, Gauntlet and the Age of Wonders 3 DLC. While I would like to see a new good Stronghold game I won't bother getting my hopes up again.

Also I'm a backer of Planetary Annihilation and Wasteland 2 so I'll probably be playing those this month.

i don't think it's female characters, specially since jodie's actually pretty decent.

he has huge issues in going super overboard with random shit like random mayan ais and cia missions, and also his stories end up suffering from being non-videogame stories told in a non-videogame way but actually still being held to videogame tropes like needing to fight a "final boss" or be padded to have a videogame worthy length

other than that i'd say jodie's character was a success and some of the supporting cast was a success too, tho all of one have a lot of bumps in the road.

in general he needs to stop writing, stop directing and just create. be a producer, come up with the idea, find the hook and get the game made. he's good at that. leave the writing and the directing to more capable people
Yeah, I mean, that is a problem with a lot of developers, or rather, figureheads (dunno if it is the right term).

Some are very good at gameplay or level design but fall short in story or vice versa. It does come with the territory of videogames with concurrent development and just it being a real technical heavy industry, especially for big titles.

I just wish liberal arts had more of an influence. The lack of diversity in terms of influence (there already has been a ton of articles on lack of sexual and racial diversity in tech) is something that I am working on. I'm trying to pitch it to The Escapist or something like that.

Just curious as to whether or not anyone has tried Gauntlet either at PAX or have played Wasteland 2 in Open Access? Both games look relatively interesting but not sure if I want to commit on buying them on launch.

As the season wound down on my FM, I finally picked up Out of the Park Baseball and have played a ton in the past few weeks. Now won 2 World Series with the Astros.. this one was super sweet. Swept all three series in the playoffs.

Strangely enough, the rules committee decided to extend the season to 168 games but it actually took 6 games away instead so it's now 156. Too funny.

Last night I decided to gift a game to some folks on my friends list. Picked out a few I hadn't spoken to for a while and sent them something from their wishlist. Figured it would be a nice surprise. One of them thanked me and immediately removed me from his list. Almost as if he had been meaning to do it for a while and this was the reminder he needed to finally get around to it...

anyone know how well the steam versions of these games run?

KOTOR 1+2
The orange box
mass effect 1
the last remnant

With KotOR 1 I had no particular issues. It crashed maybe twice and only when travelling from one planet to the other. I played the vanilla version, I think with the widescreen fix.

KotOR 2 crashed a bit more, but mostly because of the TSLRCM mod; the vanilla version was a similar experience to KotOR 1.

Mass Effect 1 runs without problem. I haven't experienced any crashes so far, even with some cosmetic mods installed.

I played this games on different PCs, but all have an nvidia card.

haha nice Dark Souls 2 is pretty popular right now. Been taking a bit adujusting to compared to Dark Souls 1 with all the new stats like adaptability and slipping the old END stat into END and VIT or whatever. Plus much more group fights. Loving some of these bosses so far though.
I'm usually not one for graphics but the 60 FPS for me is giving it a much different (good) feel than what I've previously had with the series. Yeah, I'm getting used to the different stats splitting up, tough to decide sometimes what I want to choose.

pretty decent

still burns my eyes, too much saturation and contrast imo

agreed.

also another big issue is that gaming is very academically lacking. you have game directors doing like scripts and high game design and also project management and shit and hell and they're just doing it mostly from knowledge inherited from other arts and personal experience which isn't really all that great

I know right? the game looks blurry without it too, dunno what's up with that. But Sinestro doesn't even look the right color in the regular game, it's dumb. Injustice 2 better not be dull looking.

It's sad that Injustice came out the way it did. It's why every time I play the game, I go to Wayne's Manor (Night) because it brings out the colors a lot more than all the other stages. Injustice 2 definitely needs to take on a different look.

Still waiting for a good deal on DkS2 after buying the disgusting PS3 version at release. Japan with their region locks, would have gotten it already if it wasn't for that.

What an ass. Excuse my French but he couldn't even wait a day? Jesus.. Some people.

Hey Spin, add me on Steam :) I don't think we're friends!

Damn I should have tried this when I played the game.
It's a good-looking game but the post-processing is UGH.
Yeah I dunno what's up with the game. It almost looks better without AA but there's still something weird messing with the image. The SweetFX profile I'm using helps a ton though. there's so much detail that gets lost with the regular image.

But yeah, I might tweak in the in-game contrast and saturation sliders and see if I can tone it down some. (that stage was already one of the more colorful ones so it turns out pretty crazy)

Yeah make sure you atleast get around 20 point in adaptability ADP. It increases your invicibility frames so you dodge better and take less hits. Deitus gave me the tip and it's really save my ass quite a bit since this stat didn't exist in the first game. Also what kinda build are you going for? I'm trying to do a primary STR/VIT/END build with some Dex to use greatswords later on.

Pretty much the same as you actually. Since Demon's Souls I've always played a sword and shield character. Thanks for the ADP tip, I've been ignoring it.
