It does have some good level design, but its presentation is indeed fairly dull. The NEW series always felt lifeless.

If nothing else though, Nintendo showcased on their official subchannel what kind of amazing feats they accomplished, which are also available in the in-game bonus videos menu. Far more entertaining than the game itself, quite frankly.

Naruto as a license seems pretty mainstream to me. But I'm sure companies can buy that top banner if they choose, maybe Namco is actually trying to push sales. It's at #1 now, so I guess it is working.

What's even more amusing is Left 4 Dead 2, a game "everyone has" at #2, and Skyrim still at #3 even though the sale has been over for hours. Just a further reminder that SteamGaf doesn't even remotely resemble the Steam masses.

I'm in the same boat with regard to PS4, especially since I own a vita and can remote play everything. I'm just waiting for enough exclusives to pop up (and then) a good deal. Right now, I think there are zero for me outside of TLoU remastered, andc I've already done two+ playthroughs on ps3...

I've learned recently that I really have next to no interest in most first party offerings on Nintendo platforms and thus are just a waste of money for me. I haven't really liked any Nintendo games outside of the newest 3DS Zelda entry. The Mario games have lost their charm for me... I've always thought Smash was trash... Maybe the new Zelda on Wii U will finally force my hand when considered with Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101... But that's probably not too likely. A new "classic" style Metroid would probably have me throwing my wallet at them, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Simply put... The lack of interest in 1st party titles combined with their abysmal online and the lack of achievements makes a purchase highly unlikely. I would take one for free though.

As far as Xbone goes, I will almost assuredly NEVER own one. Right now all it would offer would be KI. Add in my disdain for MS business practices like the RotTR bullshit and now the purchase of Mojang and I really wouldn't want one in my house. I'd take one for free but only if I could sell it and get a decent windfall out of it.

can't decide between that or the ZX for the Audio Control Module

decided not to get a gaming headset

got a Philip Fidelio X1 + V-Moda Boompro
just need a soundcard now (I have a USB DAC)

i just cant understand how a game that was free is #2 , doesnt make sense to me

it was on par with season 1, if anything season 1 beats it by a land slide cause i think the the S1 cast was better than S2.

I should've went with Kenny. :( you know whats funny though? I completely forgot about Christa till I was watching the other endings on youtube and when clem is at the fort place one of the options was to ask if christa was there. I'm like, dang we're still looking for her?!

My main reason for not picking up a 3DS yet(besides the region locking shit) is that the third party output for it is much much worse than it was for DS, and I generally don't care much about Nintendo's first party on handhelds. I have 40 games for the DS, 3 of them were developed by Nintendo.

Losing a save completely kills my desire to play a game. Decided to take a break from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate to finish up some PC games, loaded up Thunder Wolves only to find out my save is gone... *Adds the game to my "Probably wont finish list"*

Nintendo hardware is a very good companion to a PC.
There is too much product overlap with Xbox/Playstation.

Considering pay-for-online, it makes me look at the 1 or 2 exclusives on the Xbox/Playstation that I'm interested in and really consider whether I want to drop $400 + monthly online costs. In Xbox's case, there is nothing I want to play there, period. In Playstation's case, I'll eventually buy one to play Bloodborne, but I'm not motivated by anything else on the system.

I am a Nintendo fan going back to the NES. It wasn't my first system, but it was the first system I spent a ton of time with. So I look at Wii U or 3DS and I see a lot of exclusives I want to play (including 3rd party like MH3U). Online doesn't cost anything either. Easy decision.

I'll almost never purchase a multiplat on a console, not when I have a top of the line PC (r9 290, etc), nor when I can mod games and manually backup saves and do whatever else I want with my computer (emulation). That makes my decision even easier.

That's how I feel about it, anyway.

lol, what's with the title? Though Bayonetta 2 will be awesome and I have it preordered, it's kinda weird to have it in the Steam thread title.

Anyways, just saw the Humble Shmups bundle, and I think I'll pass. The 3 games above the 1st tier are a bit more expensive than if they were all 75% off, and I'm not a shmup fan anyways, though I do occasionally play it here and there.

Edit: Oh, are we talking about what current gen consoles we have? I'm rocking a Vita, 3DS and WiiU, and I'm loving it. For all the hype the PS4/X1 are getting, the former trio of consoles I mentioned have all the games I'm interested in, it seems.

In other news, I finally managed to get Binary Domain to play nice with x360ce. (I started playing awhile back and I liked the game itself, but I wasn't really feeling the kb/m controls, so I decided to put it aside for a bit.) Using an older version of the .dll (3.3.1.444) and setting the mode to "compatibility" in the configuration utility seemed to do the trick. So now I can finally do some proper robot blasting. :D

You can backup your saves on Wii U. It requires backing up the entire game if it's digital, though. If it's not digital, it's easier.

yeah, i think it's exactly that, the game feels really lifeless.... but yeah those linked videos are impressive, i remember some of them being linked a few months ago.

On a Steam-related note, I picked up some of those Sonic Adventure DX achievements today after the patch. The port's actually kinda competent now!

Colleague's Origin defaulted to French (wrongly, great geoIP guys) but he didn't think anything of it when he started the Simcity download. Even after turning the client back to English, the game is still French.
Now here it comes: To change the interface language in a game without a single spoken line, he has to uninstall it and redownload the entire fucking game.
Origin, pls.

played momodera 3 today , fun 2d platformer that sometimes seems similar to dark souls , liked the art style too because is similar to cave story , the only problem is that is way too short ( it took me 1:30 hrs to beat the game ) so idk if i can recommend it for 5 dollars so wait for a sale i guess , also the cards for that game are like 40 cents each if anyone is interested :p

At least he can download the game in English.
I remember Dead Space 2 that you had to choose the game's language when you redeemed the Serial key. If you redeemed in a language you don't speak, there's no way to change it back!

Nice thread title change. Zeliard buys a Wii U, and this suddenly becomes the Nintendo thread. Not that I have a problem with that. I'll probably pick one up myself in the next few months. The other two consoles are so far too reliant on games that I'd rather play on PC.

Not really, I'll get whatever I need to play the games I'm excited for. I have a Wii U for The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2, PS4 for KH3,Versus and Xrd, and I'll get an Xbone when Scalebound comes out.
