Did it? I always assumed the story mode was basically non-existent(only with a story sequences on a alternate mode). I was always under the impression that the main game wouldn't really have a story line at all, it's all about the tournament mode.

Well I'm guessing a VERY large of people buying this game didn't assume that.

FFXIII comes out tomorrow.

that would be hilarious

I'm with you. I'll also take Chrono Trigger.

I'd take it too, of course

Please don't, this is the single worst Kawazu game ever made.
(If you really need to have something by the guy, try SaGa Frontier 2 or The Last Remnant instead).

don't listen to Knurek, you usually can listen to him, but this one instance where you can't
FF4 is one of my most played games, long ago, but still, I played remakes too, and it's still great, not to mention it has Golbez, everything that has Cecil and Golbez are masterpieces

Maaaaan, I have a silly backlog already, but I feel like it's a moral obligation to buy FFII, especially since I never got around to beating it on iOS.

Having the older Final Fantasy games on Steam would be really nice, but I imagine that they'd port the iOS version of FF6 to Steam and not some emulated SNES or GBA version.

For you.

That's the impression I always had, especially after seeing a couple of gameplay videos and press releases. Personally I don't see the issue. I also never expected a proper story line when the game is subtitled "Revolution". Only numbered releases have the bigass story lines and events.

So do the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm... but the numbered releases. If you want a actual story, buy 3 or wait for 4.

Alien Isolation Season Pass

Can be preordered now. Contains content cut from main game.

Survivor Mode is you versus the creature, against the clock and in a desperate bid for survival. With few resources on each map, players will have to take full advantage of what they can find to complete objectives and escape.

On October 7th, those brave enough to face the challenge can experience the first map of Survivor Mode — Basement — with their copy of Alien: Isolation.

And on October 28th, the first of five Survivor Mode add-on packs will be available to purchase, featuring three new maps. Each map has its own set objective, challenges, a variety of enemy types to deal with, and a new playable character to discover — plenty to sink your teeth in to.

There will be more add-on packs to explore across the following month, and if you’re keen to sharpen those survival instincts, then don’t miss out on our Season Pass. The pass will give you access to all five Survivor Mode add-on packs, with up to a 25% discount!

A $30 season pass for Alien is just crazy. http://store.steampowered.com/app/324020/

is there any way to display the full map in valdis story instead of just the zone you're in ?

No.

I just downloaded one in image form from gamefaqs so I could alt+tab to it.

Kinda annoying but to be fair, by the end of the game you'll probably have most of the general layout memorized anyway.

This was a joke.
FF2 is the NES Kawazu game
FF4 is the SNES Sakaguchi game, that was originally released as FF2 in the US.
Nobody uses FF2 to name it anymore, really.
FF4 is top notch, even the DS version (pity there's now way to have the Japanese VA in the Steam version, they were amazing when compared to the US dub).

11$ russiabucks for the upgrade to deluxe(includes season pass). Imokwiththis.jpg

But we have no idea what's in it. And considering that, even the Russian price is too much imo. Might just be me though as despite being a big Alien fan I'm highly sceptical of the whole game and will wait for reviews/impressions anyway.

More I play it, more I actually like Resident Evil: Revelations. It's surprisingly tense at times, I am currently at chapter 5 or six
room is going to be Jill Soup soon
and there hasn't been a similar chapter to that
Hunter shootout or Wolf shootout
one for a while, which is nice. I thought that the game was pretty hardcore survival horror stuff with the ammo when I was constantly running out of it but then I figured that you can actually scan things for more items.

The story is still dumb as hell and I like it. And yeah, even the shooter parts aren't that bad, just really simple. Overall, it's like RE1 with RE5 mechanics and simplicity. Very fun game.

I'll have to get around to purchasing/playing through Rev. You're playing through on Infernal, am I correct? I read that it's pretty excruciating even with the bits that you get from scanning. Good luck!

Stormy Grey

Overkill listens and delivers. Despite the post-launch blunders they made, they've done an exceptional job coming up with fantastic updates and ideas. Really, all that needs to be done at this point is to ditch the shitty RNG for weapon parts and make more than 3 weapons viable for Death Wish difficulty.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Free Magicka Wizard Wars Alienware Robe DLC. The giveaway key also adds the base game to your account. So YAY free +1 I guess... :D

https://eu.alienwarearena.com/giveaways/magicka-wizard-wars-alienware-robe-key-giveaway

Yeah, as a result of Valve changing Free on Demand subs such that they no longer count as owned licences, retail keys and gifts tied to free games now count as +1s. I actually asked Valve if it would be possible to have all of Steam's free games added to my account manually so they'd count as owned, but unsurprisingly my request was denied, so at some point I'm going have to kick off the long process of e-mailing every single publisher asking for a key. I did mention in my ticket to Valve that adding the games to my account manually would save more time than humouring various publisher requests for keys, but alas this reasoning fell short of the mark.

If had got the game for full price I would agree. But I got it for 15$ on a AMD Gold with two other games, so 11$ish for all the dlcs don't sound too bad to me.
