But it doesn't seem to support PC-88, PC-98, MSX1/2 and X68000 so how am I supposed to enjoy my classic waifu simulators?

There are two MSX cores, and a MESS core the rest.
Sorry, I know MESS sucks bigtime, it might improve in the future though

More code from old bundles now that I know ModBot works.

I need to find a way to make RetroArch work on my HTPC, without being reliant on KB/M. I'm currently using XBMC (12.3, not that happy with it right now) and it's already annoying enough having to minimize it to launch Steam BPM. It's not very convenient, to be honest.

It would be great to have the PC boot to XBMC, navigate it with a remote (or controller) and then boot BPM or RetroArch. That part is not a problem, in theory, but it usually doesn't go straight back to XBMC, or at least not without the taskbar on the screen.

It's time to go on a media blackout until the game hits.
Trying to make sure you max out your disappointment levels? I get it, you need to do something during that 90 minute opening cutscene and rocking back and forth in the fetal position seems as good a thing to do as any.

So Double Fine will end Spacebase DF-9 development and leave it barebones.

They even made a timeline to show how "far" they have come since first EA release.

They removed this development plan page few months ago so they were even planning to abandon it for some time.

Most of those features are missing,

What the fucking what? I actually bought this game because had good faith in it. Developer like DF should've been a safe bet, right? What a scum.

They probably put all their money and efforts in Broken Age...

I get it. There's just too much awesomeness for the body to handle.

It hurts that there isn't even a date for Ground Zeroes PC yet :(

Wow, this is shady as hell. Not a good look, Tim.

Situations like this are just going to make people dubious of anything Double Fine is self-publishing. This is the same company that can't be bothered asking Valve for Steam keys to Broken Age's OST and distributing them to the relevant backers despite earlier saying it was "exploring a solution".

Make a thread for it.

Damn that's a real shame, I feel like Double Fine has bit of way than they can chew with all these games they're working on, it's making all of their games suffer because of it. Everything feels half-assed from them lately.

I really don't want to because I'm terrible at writing and explaining stuff. :(
Someone else who was also following Spacebase development closely should do it.
Just use the post the you just made, that's fine and people do it all the time. Someone more involved will fill in the gaps as the thread progresses. It really is thread-worthy because that's a dick move in a series of dick moves by DF.

I used to really really like Double Fine and I blind-purchased anything (even indirectly) involving Tim Schafer.
I started having doubts when I saw how they were handling the DF-9 alpha and how many unfinished projects they had (have). Now DF-9 comes out unfinished and I really disliked both Broken Age and Hack'n'Slash (buy Glitchspace).

I'll still purchase Grim Fandango though.

Is there an ETA on Act 2 of Broken Age yet?

DF's recent behaviour makes me worried for Massive Chalice.

They said it will be out this year. Also i am really surprised that there wasn't any articles about Broken Age leaving Early Access even though game is not finished.

At least DF will release Spacebase source code for modders. But I don't think it has enough fans to support bigger mod developments.

I love how there is a 213 page thread shitting on Destiny when it has a 76 meta (which is a good score). There should be a 200 page thread on this game instead.

Well that is the opposite of cool. Gotta be more wary of supporting DF in future. I have been there day 1 for more than one of their games but not anymore. It's not the only move of theirs I dislike. Likewise heavy discounts for Broken Age before the game is even completely out is not something I liked to see.

Also you should make a topic using that post. It's perfectly fine.

Actually I think one "gaming jurnalizt" should write about these things. When some small team abandons a project, okay...
But when a company like Double Fine does that, it sets a bad example on EA-titles.

Yup. Personally this was the last straw and I have no intention of ever purchasing an unfinished game or backing a project on Kickstarter (unless it's a board game) again.

PA is another of these EA games that released in incomplete stage. It's full of bugs, doesn't have much content and it still doesn't have offline mode for singleplayer.

From what I've been hearing, the Destiny score is due to the bland mediocrity of the title rather than actual technical issues or bizarre design choices. The former of which is worse than any technical issue can be.

but that would require actual investigative journalism
and we can't have that

I wouldnt an in-depth article about it. I would just like to see maybe an opinion-piece on that, because I am sure as hell people wont like it.
Sadly we dont see much about that besides maybe from TB or Jim Sterling.

Though the state of Double Fine Games arent really good. I mean KS Broken Age, then get some more money by putting an unfinished product in a Humble Bundle to get more money for the game, then sell it cheap before it gets released, angering some KS-backers. Then another KS about some Fire Emblem/Ogre Tactics style kind of Game, while Broken Age isnt even released. And some small projects on the side...

Did anyone complete all the PP trials in Dead Rising 3? That shit is pure busywork. I thought killing 100,000 zombies would be a big deal but you need to kill over 300,000 for the trials (in addition to a whole bunch of other things).
