It's the Arkham Knight Season Pass all over again.

Bethesda's saving grace is fervent modders that fix all their broken logic, memory leaks, etc. Arthmoor's like a gd machine.

Arkham Knight has none of that and you can't even buy the game or season pass anymore, much less play the DLC. I can't think of a bigger shitshow of a AAA PC game than it's release state.

I shouldn't give Bethesda benefit of the doubt, and Pete Hines kind of sucks, but I'll most likely still get it at release.

A good time to buy a Bethesda game is when the complete collection is $5 or lower during Steam sale.

‘Good’ isn’t good enough - releasing an indie game in 2015

Airscape was a total commercial failure. I’ve actually never heard of a game released on Steam (with some level of marketing) that has sold less copies than Airscape, although I’m sure they exist. Currently, the exact figure sits just shy of 150 copies sold across all distribution platforms. Even conservatively estimating 10% of lifetime sales at launch, we will barely break even on PR costs, never mind development costs. Thankfully, none of the team was financially reliant on the game doing well – all of us have good safety nets.

Why did Airscape flop so badly? As always, the answer is complicated. I certainly don’t know the whole truth but I’m going to do my best to spell out what happened, and what I think it means for other development teams hoping to release an indie game for PC.

this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30.

I might have to buy this season pass just to support this behavior, assuming they don't back down on the deal. The very worst is buying a season pass only to find it doesn't include everything (I'm looking at you, 2K).
