Gameplay
With Tears of Avia we step away from linear and dull skill systems by enabling you to build your strategy from scratch. You choose who you want on your team and which skills they will use throughout the battle, giving you countless ways to build powerful synergies. Poorly planned strategy leaves you with the possibility to lose a battle before it even started.
Apparently they're out of keys and hopefully they'll restock before I'll want to play it (considering C:S After Dark is out next week, they can take forever and I wouldn't notice).
Because Atlus Japan are still in the dark ages about PC gaming.
Besides they're publishing a game, they're not directly developing this one.
If dex weren't a smartypants they would've added 'publish' to their post, but it's almost 2016 and GAFfers still get off on people getting disappointed from gaming news for some reason @_@

I do hope they turn around sooner or later and release some ports to PC.
Like catherine or a few persona games, I think they would sell like hotcakes. But what do I know, most Koei and square games seems to still not release on PC(and both of them are horrbible most of the time with the ports).
Those 3 look interesting. Hacker's Beat is probably the most interesting one to me, though looking at the dude playing moving around on the keyboard to hit those long sequences had me scratching my head about how I'm gonna manage to do that lol.

I'm just sayin man, you wanna start small and safe? Do a respectable port of the SMT1 game you released on iOS. That thing has many elements that resemble old school WRPGs.
You could get that on GOG+Steam and see the money roll in.
Then we get SMT 2, SMT If, SMT3 HD, SMT4 HD, and the rest of ATLUS actually awesome series.

That would be the easier port, but I would honestly see that selling like the one Cladun X2 on steam. Most people really don't want the older SMT stuff. Catherine is still the better "test the waters" game if you ask me. Though obviously something is better than nothing. PS2 and up are what people want to see the most from the gist of things.
Just watched some stream of the battle chef brigade Beta, it looks real promising.
I was on the edge of backing it on kickstarter and now I'm almost regretting my last minute decision to hold onto my money.
Bejeweled/action platformer with the objective of making food is such a great idea

Oh yeah Catherine would be a good alt. too, but the older SMT games have some good depth in them.
Besides if they release SMT1 at a good price point like say $10 I think it'd do well.
not like SMT1 is bad or anything. Some archiac stuff but nothing following a guide or some FAQ won't help with.

Can't wait to get some actual impressions from people in this thread. I'm interested especially for older stuff. But it seems like other valve projects, the community will play a big part in how well it goes. Since unless I misread we should be seeing controller profiles and such made by the community for games the devs done go back to add the feature.

Older games are always a harder sell in my eyes. True it's not a bad game, but I don't see it grabbing someone to impulse buy. Also I would price it at the mobile price which I believe is 6.

Sounds interesting, but not as interesting as my endlessrunner, RTS, towerdefense game I promise.
Not but seriously the execution of their concept is the great thing, just saying it like it's a bejeweled clone with food porn doesn't really make it interesting, but it's gotten good impressions from people over the board from the demo at PAX a few weeks.
How did I not discover this earlier. Typing words while Steam is focused switches to the game, file explorer style. This is so much better than using the search bar.

I'll try not to bother people in here too much (because personally, I really hate people who are pushy about donating to charity) but I wanted to let everyone know that my donation drive for Extra Life 2015 is open, and I'm giving away profile badges and over $1,000 worth of games courtesy of IsThereAnyDeal.com:
My goal this year is to raise $1,000 for my local children's hospital, and hopefully fans of Enhanced Steam / Idle Master can help me reach that goal. Thanks everyone for your consideration!

Finished Azure Striker Gunvolt yesterday , it wasnt what i was expecting but it was fun , the pistol is terrible though , i get that the main mechanic is the "electric circle" stuff where i shoot a enemy to target it and then do damage with that but i wanted to just shoot enemies like a regular megaman game , the game gave me like 7 variations of that pistol and most of them are useless too.
Im also playing The Fruit of Grisaia, after 4 hours i havent gotten a single choice in the story so that can mean 2 things , the game is long or there arent many choices , im liking the story so im fine with both options ,
also its possible to add the removed content by pasting the denpasoft version in the game´s folder

With this update were putting the emphasis on your game, just the way it should be. If you launch Uplay required game from outside of our client, be it via a desktop shortcut, Steam or your preferred launcher, we want you to have a seamless experience.
Uplay will launch in the background and remain minimized so the only thing you need to concern yourself with is furiously clicking to skip those intro movies (amirite?). All youll see before that will be splash art for your game and any related messages such as installing pre-requisites and cloud sync notifications, just so youre up to date and know whats happening.
The Uplay client will only show up once you have finished playing your game and will display the page for the game you just played. Keeping you up to date on your progress.

they weren't spending all this time and money on making Uplay a thing that isn't monstrous solely to continue giving valve 30% of money they think they're being robbed of.

If they really wanted to do that they wouldn't have mentioned making Uplay less intrusive when using Steam & Co though. Even put a screenshot of Steam into the news.
