I tested this extensively with GPU-Z. Disabling Aero gave me an increase of ~10FPS in BF3. Yes, I do have a dual-display setup. This was on my GTS250. I'm using a 660ti now and I don't notice much a performance boost by disabling Aero since I'm not starved for VRAM anymore.

I think a GTS250 running BF3 on dual monitors was pretty extreme so it could be that even very few MBs actually made a difference. Or you were still showing the desktop UI on one display, then Aero of course uses a little more VRAM.

Yes. When you go to the page in your Steam account where you access your gifts, you can press the Add to my Game Library button to claim the gift as your own. It's yours then and you won't be able to gift it afterwards.

I liked Mini Motor Racing quite a bit for awhile on the iPad; it hard to say how it will translate to PC though. One issue (common with mobile stuff): it can get repetitive pretty fast. It'll likely give you some quick arcade fun for awhile but may get tired. Bang Bang Racing (which is 3.39) may be a better choice. I played that on PC and it's a lot of fun.

Thanks. I already own Bang Bang Racing and quite enjoyed it. I bit on MMR EVO though because tiny cars.
