CS:GO is fine but not as good as Source or 1.6 CS. I would go with BL2 imo.

I think it's best to adapt and buy GO. Source and 1.6 will continue to dwindle.. GO is gaining more and more 1.6 teams over time.

It's a lot of fun. They implemented the Dota style matchmaking system, so you'll get placed on good servers against decent competition. I highly recommend playing it with friends.

I realize most people are not like me but just in case, it does have bot support.

I'm not that good at competitive FPSs but I do enjoy playing against bots to work out aggression after a tough day - it's sometimes fun to just go slaughtering bots.

I like it a lot, especially the Arms Race mode. Be prepared for a bit of a skills learning curve (in other words prepare to die a LOT).
