Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Here is some action:

I forget, is daily prices the cheapest it can get during the sale? or could it be a flash sale for cheaper? or community vote cheaper?

There is no difference in pricing between the featured deal types unless a mistake is made. This is covered in the first question in the OP.

Holy shit, I managed to get Chroma Squad with very little issue and then it crapped out again just as the sale was finalized. I feel like the action hero who just barely rolled under the closing door.

Someone might of mentioned it already, but D4 was 10% before the sale and now it's 20%. I plan to buy it since it says it reverts back in 23 hours or so. I really doubt flashes or dailies will top it, but I could always refund it just in case I guess.

Yeah, this is a good heads up. When Steam puts a game on sale is a valid refund option. If you played it less than 2 hours D4 counts. If you want to go through the hassle for $1.50 or so.

Processing time for the refund would never get it done in time to rebuy during a flash or daily. C'mon now.

Or not.

Wow those inflated MSRPs for GTA V (i assume they are bundled with some shark cards) are fucking disgusting.

I actually find it hilarious because the game ends up being $3 cheaper with a 25% discount ($69.99 --> $67.xx).

Like, wtf? That's some sleezy car salesman fuzzy math, right there (well, not really, but feels like it).

10$ for XCOM + expansion + DLC is a damn steal. The base game is on discount for 7.5$
in comparision.

Yeah, and Enemy Within is $10 by itself. I would've thought about getting it for $5, but I'll just wait for XCOM2 at this point.

So instead of those community sales with voting you play this monster game. Then by playing and beating monster you get points and then discounts? Are the discounts then for the whole steam community?

And do you really need to create a badge first so you can play?

I managed to get into the silly monster game.

A thing to watch out for is you can upgrade yourself but if you die you will lose all upgrades then have nowhere near enough money to get the upgrades back.

You can instead choose to spend money on things to benefit other players such as a healing spell but I stopped playing once I fell into a constant death cycle.

Is Tales from the Borderlands worth it at 50% off? Or should I wait until it drops to under 10?
It's worth it, the game is freaking awesome. The wait times between the episodes are ridiculous, but fortunately Episode 3 should be out soon. It's got a really enjoyable plot, and the main cast of characters (both the 2 protagonists and deuteragonists) are some of my favorite characters in a game ever. Even if you don't like the Borderlands games, it's worth it.

Also, the game is really funny at times.

Think I'm going to hold off until the Winter sale personally, I want it, but only 2 of the 5 episodes are released. I like to play these Telltale games once all the episodes are out. Maybe we can get it under $10 during the Winter and have all 5 episodes out.

I want it, but you have to give me more than 25%. Sorry guys :p

Divinity would be worth it if it was being sold at a +25% premium instead of a -25% discount. It's the only game I've spent $30+ on in years. Seriously, don't hold off for 6+ months over $5-10, because despite how far that $5-10 can go in terms of sheer quantity during a sale, you're not going to get a better game out of it.

Well I've never gotten an error that read "Service Unavailable - Zero size object" on the Internet before. Steam is bringing me new and exciting things with this sale.

It's kind of amazing that after years of summer sales, these fucks still can't get their server loads under control.

Ok, here's the plan... all of you log out of Steam... and then I get to buy the games I want without the server crashing out. Then afterwards you all fight amongst yourselves. Sound good?
