Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Anoregon

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
This GTAV stuff is fucking amazing, it's like I'm watching an episode of Breaking Bad.

For those that were interested in it, Half Minute Hero 2 is £1.74. I've been wanting to play it for a while but never got round to buying it.
I rushed off to buy it...already in library. Well, shit.

oh great a humble bundle.
I think you're in the wrong Steam thread but...motherfucking Darklands. Anyone who loves RPGs and doesn't mind 1992 graphics has to buy and play it. One of the best hidden gem masterpieces the genre has ever seen.

Terribly glitchy sale for me so far. Couldn't buy Chroma Squad. I bought Fract OSC though, its a pretty good sale at 75% off. Also, thanks for the heads up on Despair guys.

But you can't actually purchase it that way, so what's the distinction you're making?

?

game was $60 when added to my wish list

now on wish list with base price of $85 so it can be discounted 30% for summer sale

i.e. they raised the price of the game just so they could "discount" it to the normal $60 price for the sale

You might have died while inactive which in the brief window when the game was working for me means you lose all purchased upgrades and don't have enough money to get anymore or kill anything to get any money.

Oh shit you lose your upgrades when you die? But the bosses have 150M health and you do 10 damage while they pound you.

Just double dipped on DS2 scholar of the first sin for $24.

I hate myself.

I want the upgrade but that is only 25% discount, coming to the same price as a new copy of sotfs. Oh well, that means I have paid 60 € for ds2 on pc, you'd be paying 70 in most stores when it was new

Wait for publisher sales. Capcom, Square Enix, and Bethesda commonly participate. I've noticed sometimes something like only Fallout 3 will be advertised, but their entire catalog also goes on daily pricing.

Ah, i have vague recollection now about catalog sales...
*sigh*
Guess i'll play Red Alert or something other equally old while waiting.

I bought gtav 60€ no ragrets
iu

I got it for $30 *sips his OJ*

Correct to both. Though to add: Dailies are 48 hours now. The previous dailies prices aren't updated (unless Valve has changed this AGAIN and went back to the old 24 hour system). The previous dalies prices won't be advertised but the prices will be good for the next day until the next store update (at 1PM EST).

Thanks again Seks and robot.

What's a good first Might and Magic for someone that has never tried the series before? The sale has me interested.

Sorry guys if this was asked and answered. On mobile and can't find a way to just search this thread. Is there a Community Choice cause I'm not seeing one in the app. Or will it come later?

There is none this time.

Seems the game will be its replacement (if it ever fucking works lol)

Wow, people are salty. It probably wasn't their intention to put it on sale for that much.

The sale was apparently a misrepresented item (the shark card pack being mislabeled), which is unfortunate but the outrage now is the inflation of the price by using loopholes so the actual discount didn't change anything.

The GTAV on my wish list is acting like it was $85 too. So Rockstar literally raised the price of the base game to $85 just so they could "discount" it 30% for the summer sale.

Holy shit.

apparently its not exactly the same sku since this one has the online money.

still shady as fuck though

How do you die? Do these things just randomly attack?

Just a heads-up:
GreenManGaming's 20% Off code (20PERC-ENTOFF-JUNE20), which is valid until 17.00 UTC tomorrow, works with GTA V, bringing the price down from $60 to $48.

The only downside is that it's a Rockstar Social Club key, meaning it can't be redeemed on Steam, but at this point I think it's clear that we won't be getting any Steam discounts for quite a while.

Anyone recommend Ziggurat?
I love rogue-likes and FPS games. Is that all I need to know?

As someone who bought GTA V on 360 and PS4 (before I built a good PC) I really hope that there's a good sale on it so I can play the mods.

It's a featured today, thus there is almost no chance there will be any different price than what it is currently going for.

TheSeks

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
It shows the prices as $24.99, and $23.99

Dat 1 dollar savings!

Probably because you don't have the season pass, like me.

And they won't discount the season pass either. Oh, Namco...

Everything that I wanted was pricing error that I could not even make it to the checkout to buy. First sale where I haven't spent any money on opening day.

Nothing for me today. Dark Souls II for some reason is already 50% off, but I'll WAIT FOR THE DAILY.

So the monster game is some ARG thing, right?

An error occurred while processing your request.

Reference #97.b62c0e6b.1434046798.9665551

I tried googling that reference number, but I guess that would be too easy so I'm off to the library to try to solve this. See you in two weeks.

Does the monster click game work for anyone? Worked a few times until there was some sort of disconnect after a few seconds. Now it won't start for me.

Right, but the base SKU is the one I added to my wish list. They just "updated" that SKU to include the online money and raised the price. Otherwise the game wouldn't be in my wish list at all anymore.

It's an unprecedented act of bullshit and Rockstar needs to be raked over the coals for it.

This is my third in a row. I guess it's typical the more sales go on and on. One of them will get me to jump in day one again. Would have been GTA if that first price shown was correct. Ah well.

The Dark Souls 2 upgrade is actually $14 if you own Dark Souls 2 and DLC. That's not terrible, and I guess it'll get even cheaper when it hits the front page.

Has YNAB been on sale in the past during the big summer/winter sales? It doesn't have any discount at the moment so hopefully that doesn't mean no discount for the whole sale.

Yes I picked it up on one of the Steam Sales, although I can't remember which.
