Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

There are a bunch of games listed for negative money, and my game GunWorld is one of them. For some reason it's selling for -51 cents. Attempts to contact Valve regarding it have been made, but I'm sure you all know as Steam users that contacting Valve isn't exactly an easy/speedy process.

It's worth noting my tone isn't frustration, but humor. I think it's hilarious. I want it fixed, but still wanted to point it out for chuckles.

Valkyria chronicles for $4.99 is a steal for such a high quality game. Everyone who doesn't own needs to get it.

I guess last summer sale was the last good one. I still remember Red team! Why is every meta game terrible now?

Yes, this is a good deal. I'm going to go buy it.

So Rockstar removed the base game and is only offering it bundled with that GTA Online trash anymore?

What a bunch of douchebags.

I don't agree. All they are doing is giving people a bonus who purchase during the sale. They didn't have to do anything.

That sounds like so much company man bullshit.

I look forward to how bad shit is going to get consumer-wise with you guys at the helm, one day. Happily eating shit while also championing the company's right to fuck you, royally.

People called Romanes they go the house?
Not offering discounts applying to just the DLC for people who own the base game has always been one of Steam's biggest failings in the sale.

I still remember when Deus Ex: HR- Director's cut was on sale, and it would have been cheaper by a dollar or two to buy the whole game, rather than the 'discounted' upgrade for previous owners of the base game.

There's no point in actually playing the game once you've started it.

I completely agree, and not because of the idling, but because it stops responding. Monsters health won't go down, upgrade purchases won't register etc. At least for me.

I meant that as in if $7.50 is a good price for the game in general, not if it'll be any lower during the summer sale.

Sorry. In that case, there are some websites like IsThereAnyDeal.com that will let you compare current prices across storefronts, as well as see the historically lowest price on each storefront so you can determine when it's a good deal.

The minigame mentions loot dropping when a boss is defeated. Is this loot for the minigame itself, or Steam inventory items?

I died while i wasn't playing, now i keep dying over and over when i join in again. Eh shit's fucked.

The exact same thing is happening to me, although I think the sales will be unlocked from what everyone does, not each person specifically.

Super Meat Boy at $2.99. Why yes, hello, welcome to my Library.
This year I'm going to actively follow the guidelines and not buy it unless it's a Flash/Daily deal until the end. I promise I will.

Are they worth it?

I honestly have no clue. I didn't spend a lot of time with the online mode, and even when I did, I had a bunch of cash from the pre-order bonus, and the compensation Rockstar gave out for when it had issues at launch last gen, that I didn't really need any more.

Basically, Unless you plan on playing GTA Online a whole bunch, they are useless, and have no impact in the single player.

FFXIV still 9.99€ meh. Wonder if it will even get a discount at all during this sale.

Hard to tell, since they have an expansion coming out at the end of the month. I will say that its definitely well worth it at that price.
When in doubt, wait until it's a Flash sale or a Daily sale, otherwise buy it when the last day of the sales arrive.

The clicker game is busted.

I lost all my upgrades, but now I'm at Level 6 with 600 people in my room and the monster healths are BARELY going down since everyone has no upgrades.

So getting fucked royally is a company not giving you a $15 discount on a game that was released A MONTH ago that is still generating steady revenue. lol, ok.

I guess GTA V should have done nothing and not give out the crappy monopoly money.
