Bought PUBG, gonna try it. If it is trash, refund. If it is good, refund and buy from GMG.

Bastion hands down. Absolutely love that game.

I tried to play Transistor 3 times and absolutely hated it every time.

A lot of people here love Transistor so YMMV.

Meh. Bastion is a good game while Transistor is brilliant. There are so many ways to tackle combat as you get better and overall theme is great. The answer is really get both but if you only must get one, get Transistor.

Cant go wrong with Transistor. Its cheap and absolutely mesmerizing with a very creative combat system.

Yeah, I've been postponing getting Transistor for a while now, I think it's time. Looks great visually and I hear nothing but praise from the music and combat.

How long would a regular run take? (Not 100% completion but also not just rushing through the main stuff)

Really didn't care for it either, and yet it seemed from the outset it was overall an improvement in every way from the original.

I've been playing a ton of PoE over the past year and it's only going to increase once the expansion is live. I'm playing the CB right now and it's solid so far.

Grim Dawn on the other hand is pretty awesome. It's very creative, has a great story and plethora of class options/customizations.

Edit: Overall the sale has been kind of meh. I am thinking about picking up mainly some cheaper games from my list and DLCs for games I own like Age of Wonders 3 Expansion, Endless Legend Expansion and Gal Civ 3 DLC pack.

My planned haul which I need to trim down:
- Turing Test (great puzzler)
- StarCrawlers (great, great scifi dungeon crawler)
- Fall of the Dungeon Guardians (good dungeon crawler)
- Trillion (meh, but what the heck)
- VA-11 HALL-A (bartending cyberpunk, how could you not for $10)
- Hyper Light Drifter
- Thea The Awakening (pretty great card based RPG)
- Eador Imperium
- GalCiv 3 DLCs (expansion finally made the game interesting)
- Age of Wonder 3 Expansion
- Endless Legend Expansion

I was also looking at Tyranny, but it's major expansion pack is coming in the Fall, so might as well wait for that.

Was looking at the sales earlier and saw that Age of Decadence was $8 which is really tempting but I know my laptop won't be able to run it since it's ostensibly a Chromebook. I don't know if anyone's paid attention to AoD price during past sales but is this the cheapest it's been? It's only $8, I can afford to buy it and just wait until I eventually buy a desktop but I can also just wait and not spend $8 right now.

Hollow Knight is also super tempting at that price considering it was already tempting at $15.

Also why isn't Undertale on sale, come on.
Otherwise, a lot of these sales are very appealing to me, I wish I had a desktop

I know they're both only like $3, but which do you prefer, Bastion or Transistor?
I gave up on Bastion after a few hours as I just wasn't really enjoying it. Transistor on the other hand, I consider to be an absolute masterpiece, I couldn't put it down. I ended up playing through it twice.

Played Deus Ex Mankind Divided a little bit. Cinematic looked pretty disappointing. Adams face is all fucked up and graphically doesn't look that great either to me. He sometimes randomly starts moving in one direction and i got stuck in the elevator. Stopped there, will check out more later.
DS2 cinematic on the other hand was fucking amazing D:
Time to check out other games.

Deus Ex HR Director's Cut worth it for ~4 bucks CAD? I tried to play the OG one on PS3 but then thr DC came out so I abandoned that.

The WiiU one is too expensive now.

I've selected a few games from my wishlist where my interest is above average. Any tips or suggestions as to which one(s) to pull the trigger on?

Axiom Verge (€ 8,99 / 50%)
Dark Souls III (€ 23,99 / 60%)
Dishonored 2 (€ 19,99 / 50%)
Europa Universalis IV (€ 9,99 / 75%)
MGS V: Ground Zeroes (€ 3,99 / 80%)
Mount & Blade: Warband (€4,99 / 75%)
The Talos Principle (€9,99 / 75%)
The Turing Test (€ 7,99 / 60%)
Transistor (€ 2,84 / 85%)
Until I Have You (€ 2,79 / 80%)
Yooka-Laylee (€ 29,99 / 25%)

Some would be no-brainers, but I'm not too satisfied with the price (like Dishonored 2 and Dark Souls III), and the others are somewhat unknown territory for me.
Transistor for sure.

I posted it 4 pages ago but there's a Age of Deca + Dungeon Rats that's 2 dollary-do's more for both of their games

Okay GAF, I have $20.38 in my Steam wallet. I was originally going to buy the Dark Souls 3 Season Pass, but it looks like it's not going on sale. Rocket League + Ys Oath is currently the pick I'm going with, but perhaps I could be swayed by some good arguments for the other games on my wishlist...

Dead Cells is exactly the sort of game I've been needing lately. Loving it so far.

I also picked up Hollow Knight and excited to try that out. I'm a little worried about playing the two in tandem though, since they seem pretty similar.

Yep, I completely disagree. Bastion was good, but Transistor was better in every way IMO.

There was a thread about games you wished you liked more and Transistor is at the top of my list. I was completely heartbroken that I do not care for Transistor whatsoever. The thing that bugs me is that I can't identify exactly why. But the fact is that I can't make it more than an hour into that game and turn it off.

So I was looking at Pillars of Eternity and saw all the negative reviews. Apparently, they raised the price for the Summer Sale? Really scummy if true.

So far my hit is House of the Dying Sun for $10 and PUBG from GMG for $21. Trying to be more frugal this time around.

There is also the Oculus sale and me waiting for the dailies there that I am trying to not buy any slight thing I want. lol

From all of these I only played Doom. But I totally LOVED it... definitely among my favorite games this gen and one of the best SP shooters since a long time. The game also runs like magic!

HOWEVER, CD Keys has it for 12,79 if you don't mind. And it has been this price for quite a while now.

Both Rocket League and Divinity:OS are all-time great games. Can't go wrong with either.

Rocket league is fantastic as this is my current MP go to game on Xbox One & PC. But I do recommend getting a controller to play it. Lots of unlocks to customize your car too. But see if the GOTY edition is on sale before buying the standard edition.

EDIT: GOTY edition is 17.99 CAD.

The thing to note about God Eater Rage Burst that a lot of people miss is that you actually get two games when you buy it so there's that too

At least I didn't know that when I looked at like the first twelve times*

In regards to the price changes you are absolutely right. You deserve more transparency and better communication from Paradox when it comes to changing of our prices and pricing policy. Therefore I have decided to roll back all price changes made; any price changes will have to be for future products well communicated in advance. I just came off the phone with Steam and they say we can't do the roll-back before the Summer Sale is over (otherwise it would mean we have to take all Paradox products off the summer sale) but it will be done right after. For anyone who bought any of the games during this time (including during the summer sale) we will try to refund (if possible in the Steam platform) or reimburse with games of a value exceeding the difference. If none of this is possible (I do not in detail know the limits to the Steam platform) we will internally calculate the difference in revenue before and after the price change, double the value, and donate the money to the UNHCR."
Yeah, no shit. Well then, autumn sale it is for PoE expansions.

There's nothing wrong with that pick (or any other pick tbh). Just go with what you feel in your heart.

Paradox did it with the whole catalogue i think. And it depends where you live. Some places it didn't go up at all. Paradox (Not Obsidian) said it was to bring it in line with increased purchasing power but earlier today walked it back completely. It's a dumb situation but it'll be back to normal after the sale and depending where you live may not have changed at all.

I got:
This is the Police
Beat Cop
What Remains of Edith Finch
TIS-100
Rusty Lake Hotel and Rusty Lake: Roots
Batman Arkham Origins Season Pass

All for just under like $45. Pretty happy! Most of my wishlist was on sale but not deep enough for me to buy more than I did.

Absolutely loved Grim Dawn for the 20 or so hours I put into it (edit: 60 hrs, just looked. Wow). Once it came to an end, I didn't feel too compelled to run through again on a higher difficulty though. That's my only complaint. But for the buy-in price right now for a new player, def worth the cost.

The only thing I wanted from this sale was the Doom DLC so I could get the remaining achievements (I know... ) but since that's not on sale, I think I want another MP game to add to the rotation. Currently playing CSGO, Dota 2 and PUBG. Rocket League off and on. TF2 once in a blue moon. Any suggestions?

How is the Fallout 4 season pass still 30 bones

I feel like it should have been that price from the start (and I guess it was, then brought up to $50)

Hmm, interesting that Enhanced Steam seemed to miss that. :p

DOOM intrigues me because I haven't played a FPS like it before (arena shooters I think they're called?). Which is also a risk, because there's a chance I could totally hate it.

Do Rocket League.

Both Rocket League and Divinity:OS are all-time great games. Can't go wrong with either.

Oof, Rocket League is one of those games where having a controller is better? That... might knock it lower on my wishlist. Though I played Dark Souls 3 with M+K and loved it, even though everyone recommends playing those games with a controller. How bad are Rocket League's M+K controls?

I've been curious about Divinity OS because I really loved Dragon Age Origins' combat. But I hear the story is lackluster which was my biggest draw to DAO. Thoughts?

yeah i was thinking about that

idk if that's a positive tho

unless they like completely sweep me away i don't really want to have to like play 2 similar games lol

sounds like they made some dumb choices and took some flak

hopefully folks will be pleased with those fixes
