Picked up Shadow Warrior. Does Splinter Cell Blacklist run off Uplay? Then again I've been iffy on Splinter Cell games since like Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory
Pretty sure it's UPlay free on the Steam version.

edit --- nm it launches uplay..................

Aww yes

I hope so, even that wait is going to be annoying.

Might want to hold off on Wolf in case they patch it (I know, lol, but I can always dream can't I?) because Telltale is sure working hard to become the next Obsidian. I hit a massive (but not gamebreaking) bug in Episode 4, and there's been several technical issues encountered along the journey.

I'll grab it and wait for episode 5 to come out before playing. I bought Walking Dead season 1 while it was on sale around the time ep 3 was out and ended up waiting for the season to finish before playing past ep1. I guess was super lucky to not run into any save issues lol.

Is Fallout:NV more of the same as F3 or at least a bit different? I kinda felt I was fed up with F3 back in the day

NV and FO3 are about as different as two games can be when they share the same game engine and same base game mechanics.

I like to think that NV is an RPG with some shooting, whereas FO 3 is a shooter with some RPG. NV has wonderful quest design, characters, dialog, story, and a unique reputation system that leads to a highly replayable, branching end-game. There is a lot of hand crafted content such that finding a shack out in the wilds is more fun than it is in FO 3. That content is also interconnected smartly, further improving the overall story. The vaults are highlights, really good stuff there. The SPECIAL stat/skill system is better implemented in NV as well, leading to characters that feel more differentiated than in FO3.

When I first opened my Steam account in 2011, I quickly built my library to over 20 with just a couple of indie bundles and some generous friends.

When I bought my PS3, Liquidmetal14 let me share his account and I quickly gained access to dozens of games.

In 2002, Garp at Teamxbox bought me an Xbox plus 6 games.

I have always been the recipient of generous folks, and I think that spreading gaming beyond our own homes is something everyone should do if they can.

It's for the greater good.

The greater good.
This post is beautiful.

After all this generosity I have to pay it forward.

(It's not Bad Rats I promise)

Woah snap. I have no idea what this can be and sadly cannot find out until I get home from work in a few hours. I'll be sure to follow up then and hopefully my greedy ass will make a giveaway or two by the end.

Thanks a lot.

So I guess the Followers should've died out long ago, then. :p

Well, most endings with them turn out rather unfortunate, dating back to Fallout 1 where they were just assumed to have been entirely destroyed. And they also tend to stagger along because of their combined strength as a group and their political dealings with others. The player character is mostly a lone wolf, with at most a small handful of companions, and as such doesn't have the backing to logically be able to survive in such a way.

A Follower striking it out on their own isn't going to have a fun go at it, unless he/she changes their mindset drastically, as we saw with
Ceasar
.

This is the kind of reasoning I have a problem with, this notion that a genuinely decent person who's helpful to others and takes the high road whenever they can is automatically going to be "naive and ineffectual". I'm not one to buy into the whole "you've gotta be a scumbag to survive in tough times, and anything else is unrealistic" narrative. Maybe that's just me, though. :p

I don't by any means think that applies to any sort of setting and character. In fact, in Planescape: Torment, I can't bring myself to play anything but the altruistic good guy who doesn't cheat or kill innocents. There are spoilery plot-based reasons for that, but mainly it's because playing the good person there is highly rewarding and fits the theme of the character and setting to a tee, and you're also given the choice to do a number of despicable things that are vivid and genuinely hard to stomach (which lie in stark contrast to the typical goofy "bad guy" choices you're given in games, which are often impossible to take seriously). The strength of the writing is what makes those choices relatively poignant.

I think all of that works or doesn't work depending on the sort of setting you're in and the general thematic elements of the story.

Reading reddit right now is a intersetin. It's somewhat entertaining to read how the alliance crumbles to pieces and the redditusers realize that the lost all control, if they ever really had it. Also one thread in TeamReds part where the alliance congratulates them for not backstabbing them, shortly before red made their run to the first place.
I know I'm unnecessary spiteful. Maybe I'm just salty because I hated the farce of the last days.

Grabbed Nidhogg. Been looking forward to playing it.

Dailies seem like mostly repeats, still holding out for Goat Simulator for a daily/flash/community choice.

anyone knows how long the timetable is to know you've won the 3 wishlist game giveaway?

do they message you or what?

(not saying i have a chance but just wanna know how people get theirs)

No problems -- grats.

And remember: It's
not
Bad Rats.

Tempted by the Nidhogg two pack but I really don't know how much I'd play it as most of my gaming friends mostly stick to the consoles. No Xbone version on the cards is there? :(

Considering getting Fallout NV. I guess ultimate is the way to go?
But maybe more importantly, is it more hardware demanding than Fallout 3, or about the same? My computer's getting quite old but I could run FO3 when it came out.

It should run the same maybe even better if you did not mod out gfwl.

I feel so bad for agonizing over the blackwell series at just under a dollar. I got the first three in a bundle, but I haven't touched them. Is the series over at number 4?

That feel when I find out that buying the games in the Fallout Classic collection separately is actually cheaper than buying the classic collection.
