I'm not saying you have an anti-Fable agenda or anything, it's just that post has been the main focus of the game for the last two pages or so and I think a lot of people could enjoy the game. I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Dude even Molyneux agrees Fable 3 sucks.

I look at Fable III, and it's hard to be completely honest without offending people; but I know, when I read in the middle of a review that said the quality just wasn't good enough, I actually agree with those reviews.

In the grand scheme of this sale, there are better things to spend 25$ on.

FM2011 is great! everyone who is interested in football should buy it.

As a (filthy) american I have no interest in football (soccer), but I do like text sports games (like the baseball sims). Is it good for someone who has next to no knowledge of soccer?

I just bought a new laptop less than a month ago. I've never taken part in the Summer sale, and I can honestly say that I'm enjoying the hell out of this. I've only bought 3 games so far. I can't believe that I've ignored Steam for so long.

Welcome to the master race. We are pleased to have you join us.

Haha, I'll eat my hat on the day that image ceases to describe Molyneux's approach to Fable.

In the interest of this thread, and the right of others to voice their opinions, from here on out I'll consider my voice heard. :)

A buddy gifted me Star Wars Battlefront and Terraria yesterday. Downloaded Battlefront over night and played Terraria for a few minutes last night - I had no clue wtf I was doing. :\

ASd for today's Sales - that Hoard game looks like it could be decent. Y/N?

Anyone know yet how to get the SMB ticket? Thanks to whoever wrote the description for that, useless shit.

Spiral Knights one doesn't work either. I need more coffee.

About Fable III. If you enjoyed the previous games then you will enjoy this one. Worth the price of admission, but be ready to be frustrated with it by the end.

And here is one vote for the opposite side. I enjoyed Fable 1 and 2, but hate the third one.

It´s a rushed game that manages to be so immature that it´s downright offensive, and it´s ridled with bugs and game mechanics that don´t work with each other.

And it comes with Games for Windows Live.

And it comes with Securom.

I´m tempted to replay Fable 2 on my XBOX360, but I wouldn´t recommend Fable 3 even if it was 75% off.

Same here. Would love to hear more!

Get Magicka and Magicka:Vietnam because both are actual levels to play through. Everything else is just mp maps or outfits.

The only other stuff I'd immediately buy as well is the Final Frontier and Marshlands because they are adding challenge maps and a few new items.

Nothing I want today either =/

Please tell me it all gets better from now on :'(
Surely you already own Plants vs Zombies then? If not, it's the best value of the sale thus far arguably.

Probably get an A+ or whatever on all levels in Hell.

I'm kind of surprised BC2 isn't on sale on Origin, not in the UK at least. £20 vs £5? I don't think EA get it at all.

GAF, anyone know someone specifically at Steam support I can email, not the general service?

Alright, finally made my first purchase of this sale:

Ass Bro
Bulletstorm
Darksiders
Mass Effect 1 & 2
Magicka Complete
Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum
Fallout: New Vegas
dirt 2

Also picked up HL2 Episode 1 and 2. So far so good.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Wow, some tickets are already on games I have bought.

How do I do the Spiral Knight and the Super Meat Boy ones though?

What's the meat boy achievement about? I have 200/200 on the 360 version and have only played an hour of the PC version or so. What do I need to do to get today's thing? If it's just make it to Hell, that's no problem. If it'a A+ all of Hell and Dark World Hell ("as little time as possible") then fuck that :p

Gonna go with Darksiders and Super Meat Boy today. Tempted a bit by Bioshock 2, but my interest isn't that high, and my backlog is growing too much already.

I imagine my attempts at preventing people from throwing down the money for Fable III are analogous to that of Jesus with Christianity.
:( Didn't buy the 360 version to wait for this one so it's quite a bummer for me..oh well, I better spent the cash on some of the future deals.

Had that a long time ago, didn't unlock when I booted it. Maybe you need to die in under one second on a Hell level or something.

You could always try Gabe Himself.

Is Magicka really that much of a system beast? The specs page makes it sound like something my freakin' laptop could run (2.10Ghz dual core, 4 GB ram, ATi Radeon 3200 running Windows 7).
It's the optimization, not the requirements itself. Hard to describe, but you should be fine for the most part.

Anyone else not receiving purchase confirmation e-mails? I didn't receive one for KOTOR yesterday, and I didn't receive one for Darksiders.

Hmm. Could the servers be too busy or something?

Me too! I'm new to PC gaming and I now realize why people love it so much. I haven't even touched a console/handheld game in the last few weeks.

It is too bad that my laptop can't handle newer games though. I was really disappointed that I couldn't play Magicka, which is weird.

And yet, I've read lots of people saying they liked lots of things about the game and that many of the issues aren't game wrecking. I just think it's fair that people see both sides of the arguments.

I haven't played the game yet so I can't commend on how valid some criticisms may or may not be.

Probably not. I mean, at the end of the day its basically a pretty, football-based spreadsheet game but if I didn't like football I couldn't see myself enjoying it.

Oh it is. I underestimated it when bought it and boy is it slow on my MacBook Pro. Even just the menus are laggy.

I'm doing pretty well. Three days in and I've only bought puzzle agent 2, bit trip runner and battlefront 2. It's weird to already have almost every game I'd want to play.

I actually thought Darksiders was kind of a meh port. =/ Not so bad that it should be avoided by someone for whom it's the only option, but I dumped it for console less than an hour in and I'm glad I did.
