Thinking about double diping on Darksiders. Anyone know if the PC version is looking alot better than the ps3 version?

Anyone know if that Longest Journey/Dreamfall bundle is good for the length of the sale? Should just wait until the last day to buy unless it's a daily deal right?

How easy is it to get into FM2011 if you are from the US and only know about American football and basketball? Only soccer I have ever watched is the World Cup last year.
Not that easy, it's a very good game, but it definitely helps if you know a lot about football, and it certainly doesn't hold your hand a lot. That said, the community is pretty good, and if you are patient you could learn it.

Picked up Bioshock 1 & 2 for £6.98

Haven't played the first on PC, and only played a little of the second, again on PS3; so it's time to play both as God intended, before the launch of Infinite...

Also gifted my sister Fable III for her Birthday, which was what she was asking for - so really got lucky there!

Rest of todays deals seem pretty meh.

Idk, it was a meh port, but with a bit of effort it looked like a generational leap better than the console version.
Doesn't the console version have horrible tearing? Vsync+Triple Buffering alone easily tips the scale.

I bought Bioshock 2 CE for 360 and never played it. $90 down the drain. Should I just buy the PC version and play with the 360 controller?

Is that because you no longer have Bioshock 2 or an Xbox?

Is getting the magicka complete pack worth it? Or should i stick with the 4 pack @ 2.50 each. I can find 3 others to split the cost.

Take the 4 pack and split. Its more fun with friends anyway.
The only one you REALLY should want is Vietnam anyway. Buy that on top of the 4 pack for yourself if you are inclined.

In case anyone doesn't know, I'm pretty sure Bioshock 2 uses GFWL.

I was warned by another member when it was last on sale. Saved me the trouble.

How big is the BF:BC2 download?

From other replies so far, Vietnam is the one you want, rest is PvP maps or DLC robes.

Still contemplating getting the complete anyways for 3$ more than Magicka + Vietnam.

Before anyone buys bioshock 2, I have to remind you that it comes with some DRM. Securom I think.

I'm going to buy Bioshock 2 because I want to play Minerva's Den. Is Securom easy to remove once I'm done with the game? In other words, if I'm not going to avoid it strictly on principle, are there other negative consequences for my machine that I should worry about?

Looking on the Meat Boy forums like the achievement is to get a sum of fewer than 500s between all Light World and Dark World Hell levels. Can't imagine very many new purchasers will unlock the achievement, then.

(a guy with 498 seconds has it, a guy with 560 seconds doesn't, so the most logical threshold between the two is 500)

That's insane for a promotional achievement.

True. You can also force AA if you know what you're doing.

It's never been on sale before EVER. It is too good to be true, just get it.

Too bad they don't have those cool indie bundles like last time :( So far I haven't bought anything since I bought most of the stuff they have now from the last sale :D I really want to buy Terraria but I'm still waiting for 50% off deal. There are some cool adventure games I'm gonna pick up too of they go on daily sale.

I'd imagine there's not going to be a daily deal since it's already 75% off rofl

BUY The Longest Journey. That game is amazing, absolutely amazing.

Dreamfall is meh... some people enjoy it though.

But you absolutely have to play TLJ if you like adventure games.

Oh, come on, can nobody help a poor-ass GAFfer out? I'm gaspin' here!

To reiterate: I'm interested in getting Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from the US Store, since it's ~£3 as opposed to £5 on the Uk store. I'm also interested in Magicka and Super Meat Boy, but I know that there's Complete packs for both BC2 and Magicka, and I don't think I can afford both, so if the Magicka Complete pack is anything over ~£5, I'll get SMB instead.

So now, I need one kind, generous, handsome and extremely well-hung American GAFfer to come to my rescue, so to speak. I can pay them immediately via PayPal, but I will need to discuss prices with them before proceeding, so contact me via PM or add me as a friend on Steam (if you haven't already) and contact me via Steam Chat. My Steam ID is Dash Krimson.

Thanks in advance.

Get Magicka and Magicka:Vietnam because both are actual levels to play through. Everything else is just mp maps or outfits.

The only other stuff I'd immediately buy as well is the Final Frontier and Marshlands because they are adding challenge maps and a few new items, but they arent necessary.

Anyone have a slot in a Magicka 4-pack? Not used to Steam at all (second day really on the damn thing), but have a PayPal account ready to go if that's how it's done.

I played through the PS2 version of half life with a friend a long time ago. I'm debating getting it for PC, it may be the better way to experience it I guess.

Thanks for paying it forward dude. You have saved me in turn.

Ahhhh see I wish I had known that before I double-dipped. Serves me right. -_-

Man that Resident Evil 5 color mod looks great but I refuse to pay 15 bucks for a game I already own. We must go cheaper.

Magicka Vietnam is only $1.69 today!

Anyone who doesn't own the base game should jump on it for $3. It is a great deal. They even have four packs for insanely cheap as well. Awesome crazy fun co-op.

I'll wait it out for another day maybe. It's only like two quid anyway, I don't even care about the money, I'm just pissed at the crappy service. Same thing with Sony not refunding my BG&E money actually.

Yeah, with all those millions upon billions Valve have to spend on the Half-Life 3 team for the sake of enabling their cocaine-fuelled hooker parties
:p
it seems rather odd that they're still lacking in the customer service department. Valve definitely need to improve in that area.

That BG&E refund business with Sony strikes me as particularly strange, too. Usually platform holders are quick on the draw to correct such transgressions.

If anybody has an open slot for a Magika 4 pack feel free to shoot me a PM.

Just know I probably won't be able to PayPal the money for about 10-12 hours from now or I can trade for another $2.50-$3 game (like Hoard) instantly.

Buy it for PC and play with keyboard mouse?

This is probably correct. My total time is 501.34 across both sides adding it up.

Is Blue Shift and Opposing Force worth it? I only want HL1 and TFC and I've already got the rest from The Orange Box.

Valve's gotta fix that glitch where if you already own a game you can't buy a 4 Pack to gift other people with. It's lame. I want to buy a Magicka 4 Pack but can't because the gift button is greyed out.

Magicka is a steal at that price, it's a fun, quirky game. Just don't get too frustrated by the mechanics of some of the bosses lol.

I loved Opposing Force, but never finished Blue Shift. If you're really into the whole story of Half-Life it's definitely worth it.

Those of you who used a save game file for SMB during the christmas sale will get the achievement once you reach the main menu.

Just incompetence everywhere. It's really irritating.

I accept things are going to go wrong, it's harder to accept people aren't capable of fixing it in a reasonable time.

Nevermind, I dropped it to 497.84 on some level I obviously didn't try to beat that hard and it still didn't unlock. Who fucking knows.
