And here is one vote for the opposite side. I enjoyed Fable 1 and 2, but hate the third one.

Same here. F1 & F2 certainly weren't masterpieces, but I liked them. I even made the OT for Fable III, but it was a major letdown and a step backwards for the series. Some people might enjoy it, if just depends on how capable they are of putting up with sloppy game design.

I knew it sucked the moment I did a mission that required me to do nothing but hold down A or X.

:( Didn't buy the 360 version to wait for this one so it's quite a bummer for me..oh well, I better spent the cash on some of the future deals.

You're more than welcome to form your own opinion, of course, but coming from me USD$25 isn't worth the gamble. Even if you enjoy the core game, it is a sloppy port.

That seems a bit extreme.

Anyone else not receiving purchase confirmation e-mails? I didn't receive one for KOTOR yesterday, and I didn't receive one for Darksiders.

Hmm. Could the servers be too busy or something?

Received one for a gift I sent out but not a purchase.

I actually thought Darksiders was kind of a meh port. =/ Not so bad that it should be avoided by someone for whom it's the only option, but I dumped it for console less than an hour in and I'm glad I did.

Why is that? I've heard nothing but good things regarding it on PC.

AvP, Darksiders, Episode 1 and Magicka Vietnam. Still got about $35 left to spend. Hoping for Metro 2033 at some point, as I missed it last time. Probably grab Super Meat Boy later, though it's a whole $1 cheaper at Greenmangaming.

Damn, RE5 is almost 2 years old and still $30 retail and on sale only 50% off at $15? I would buy it at $20 at 75% off, $5 Resident Evil 5 and I'm buying.

How easy is it to get into FM2011 if you are from the US and only know about American football and basketball? Only soccer I have ever watched is the World Cup last year.

I bought Darksiders and gifted Plants vs Zombies to my gf.

I'm really trying to stay under $10 per day, but I might have to buy Meat Boy... it looks fucking awesome. GAF has reminded me why I skipped Bioshock 2 initially so I won't bother with that.

Idk, it was a meh port, but with a bit of effort it looked like a generational leap better than the console version.

Can anyone tell me how long it will take/what I have to do to get that Spiral Knights ticket? I haven't played it before, started just now

Damn...tempted to buy Aliens v. Predator for $4.99. I know it got crappy reviews, but I'm a fan. I'll count to ten and see if I still want it.

According to the Team Meat twitter feed it is unlocked based on the sum of your total time in Hell across light and dark levels. Apparently getting A+ in all of those is not enough, and there's no other real good measure of time spent on an individual levels. Fucking dumb.

Definitely in on Magika. Should I bother with Vietnam? Keep in mind that I'll play through this game once, and quickly. I don't know how people can devote more than 20-30 hours to a game (unless it's naturally that long like an RPG). There are so many games to play these days! I feel like I'm constantly drowning in games.

I've got the same question for BFBC2 Vietnam. I bought the vanilla version when it was last on sale and have yet to play it. Is Vietnam worth picking up? I'll probably run through 9-10 matches and call it a day.

And I join the fun. Threw a €50 in the Steam Wallet, so that's my budget for this sale.

Starting off with Darksiders. €5 is a steal for even a half-competent Zelda-clone, and this one looks pretty good.

I'll wait it out for another day maybe. It's only like two quid anyway, I don't even care about the money, I'm just pissed at the crappy service. Same thing with Sony not refunding my BG&E money actually.

Play Last Stand as the Imperial Guard General (He looks like Freddy Mercury) and select flamethrower as your weapon, you'll get it very quickly.

'Kills' count as 'you did some damage on an enemy before it died'.
If you haven't played Last Stand before, you'll quickly discover the Imperial Guard General sucks until he's levelled a bit...

- at lvl 2 you unlock that shield that can regenerate health and deflect enemy attacks for the IG General
- You can use Mekboy as well to attempt this achievement, I've read that he has a flamethrower as well.

I lucked out and landed on team of two more experience players that helped me survive up to the 9th round. It's actually kind of a fun mode.

I've been slowly getting more attracted to PC gaming, but the only problem is that I happen to have a Mac. As such, there hasn't been to much thrown my way during the summer sale though. Right now I'm eying Half-Life 2 and the episodes. I've already played them all on my 360, but they're so goddamn cheap!

Looking on the Meat Boy forums like the achievement is to get a sum of fewer than 500s between all Light World and Dark World Hell levels. Can't imagine very many new purchasers will unlock the achievement, then.

(a guy with 498 seconds has it, a guy with 560 seconds doesn't, so the most logical threshold between the two is 500)

It's very complex and in depth.

There's a very high chance you won't have a clue what's going on.

Just do a few of the research net puzzles. If you haven't got far enough just select 'hack into the system' as an option.

I did some of the old ones so that I didn't have to hurt my brain too much with multiple reactors; specifically I did Tunnels I and Fission I and Fission II.

I can post screenies of my terribad solutions if anyone needs :s

These are the same ones I did. I am sure it is hard to come up with the most efficient solutions, but all three can be solved the same way.

- Orange and blue paths can just be rectangles.

- Orange path should contain an input, grab function, special function (fission or warp), drop function, and output. If you have played the first few tutorial maps, you should know how to do all of this. If you are unfamiliar with the special function, hovering over it will give you a description on how it is used.

-Blue path needs a grab function located where a second atom is generated via the special action (either fission or warp) on the orange path, and then a drop function and output in the appropriate quadrant.

- Add Sync funtions where necessary.

All three of these can be completed in 10 mins for the achievement.

It's definitely passable if you are a fan. Buy it.

It's not bad mechanically, but severely dissapointing because you can cheese it, which basically makes all decisions moot. That, and the ending didn't pay off.

I guess that counts as bad as far as expectations go though.

Does Darksiders have advanced video options or are you stuck with default options? Also 360 controller native support?

Warning to anyone considering Bioshcok 2, PC version doesn't have gamepad support for some baffling reason. I bought it last time it was on sale and didn't know until afterwards.

Wow, I can never handle speed run achievements. The only thing that's making me wary about buying Meat Boy is that I'm afraid it will be too hard for me :lol

I'm installing it right now, I'll let you know.

Is getting the magicka complete pack worth it? Or should i stick with the 4 pack @ 2.50 each. I can find 3 others to split the cost.

This is true, actually...the difference is significant enough that I've been thinking about playing through the port as well sometime. It's a great game.

I dunno...it's just kinda slapdash. No AA or any advanced graphics options. I had some trouble getting a control configuration I liked, as I recall. And the FMV stuttered like crazy, but that might be my machine. But it still looks good! Sorry, I am already regretting saying anything because $5 is such a great price for it.

i bought it the other day for the $2.50.

if you like God of War/3D action type games, you might like it.

its actually pretty ambitious for a little indie game.

worth the $2.50.
