While it's cheap, sure. The PC version has more content but a less stable engine than the 360. Easily worth what they're asking though.

stuck my tongue deep inside Atlus' cookies
HL1, HL2: Ep2, and Darksiders for me, today.

I've never played HL1 so it's a no-brainer. I played through the HL2 saga on Xbox and have slowly been collecting it on Steam. And Darksiders is just cheap enough to be in impulse buy territory, at this point.

Well it depends.

If you're into platform games, then sure. However, I bought it in the last sale and have hardly played it. The reason for this being that I'm not a huge platform fan and the difficulty takes out some of the fun for me. It's a well made game though with tight controls so platform fans should pick it up.

edit: How long is Magicka?

Well, the easiest way to do it is to go the auction house and buy a firecracker (it's a bomb). You're not going to be able to afford one unless you buy energy (in real money- 20 bucks). You could also craft one, or buy one from a vendor in Haven (the main hub), but the cost is going to be very similar any route you go.

In summary, I don't think it is possible if you don't want to cough up money and you don't have a friend who has played the game before. Although it's pretty simple for anyone who has played the game for any length of time and has spare crowns lying around. There's a small chance you could luck into a severely under priced one at the auction house, but I wouldn't count on it.

Quick Magicka question, how do I know what DLC I have purchased? I want to buy what I am missing but I don't know what I own besides vietnam.

I'd like to buy the Half-Life Complete and finally get to play these games. It seems the German versions are censored, though. Anyone from the US willing to help me out? What's the price in US dollars?

Right click the game on your steam client and click view downloadable content.

Right click on it, and 'View Downloadable Content' usually works.

EDIT: wait...can you even gift extra SMB copies? I thought you could only gift certain Valve games.

I'm unsure what you're referring to. I bought the game at launch and I'm currently on rapture (the world after hell) and I'm not getting an achievement.

Really, I'm not even sure what the achievement for today is trying to tell me to do.

So far the only people I've seen have it unlock are people that had it unlock when they launched the game. Team Meat twitter says it is based on the sum of all light/dark levels in Hell, but mine is sub-500 seconds total and it still didn't unlock. Note that is way, way under what the sum of A+ on all Hell levels requires (more than 60 seconds I think). I have a feeling there's something wrong with this achievement.

Any more notable/interesting hidden sales like Garshap?

Yeah I did, got a mindless reply. I legally own it, might as well just pirate it and leave steam support to play with their blocks.

The problem really is now I don't want to buy anything else in case it also doesn't get added.

Thank you. I mean it's only 2.50, so I was just wondering if it was like unplayable. Mediocre and indie I can handle, at 2.50.

I think I get why these achievements are harder than the Treasure Hunt ones.

These ones actually allow you to earn real prizes, worth real money. Last time you just got entered into a contest.

Looks like it is only sold through Games for Windows. Does anyone know if Minerva's Den works with the Steam version?

I apologize for going OT but I'm having a strange issue on Steam in which games start and and stop downloading. I'll go from 4 mb to 0 and then it will start again...really strange. I'm hoping this is an issue some of you guys have encountered and would be willing to share your experience to see if its a general troubleshoot issue or just a singular problem(which would suck for myself). Thanks and I apologize again for going OT.

Considering the Steam version is GFW enabled, you should be able to get it within the game.

Server is throttling you because too many people are downloading stuff from that one particular server/region, or you have too many concurrent downloads at once, and the servers in general are throttling you.

It's normal.

My DL speeds are fluctuating like hell since the start of the sale. Can't help you if it started before then, but if it's a recent issue it's probably the servers being hammered.

Most likely. I've had a few instances where I couldn't even resume updates without the Steam client briefly freezing.
