It's just a guesstimate by the publisher about what kind of computer hardware you'd need, not an actual running requirement. Basically, they're already calculating the overhead of Windows+a smattering of other programs running when they come up with that number.Bentendo said:I'm new to PC gaming and have a question: Fallout: New Vegas requires a minimum of 2GB of RAM in order to play, and while I have 2.7 my task manager usually says I am using around 1 GB already, which would mean I have only 1.7 GB available if I play the game. Is that how it works or do all of the background programs stop working when I play the game in fullscreen?
These are cheap enough to be daily deals but i dont see them listed anywhere.. Are they this low for today only?? 6$ for both of em...Eaten By A Grue said:omfg did not realize the Longest Journey and Dreamfall are finally on sale. *faints*

In reality I don't think I've ever seen a game go above 650Meg being used or so of actual used memory. Unless you're leaving 3 copies of Photoshop open in the background you'll be fine.

Magicka: $2.55 paid by Paypal gift, otherwise it'll be $2.94
Hoard: $2.25 paid by Paypal gift, otherwise it'll be $2.63
Jive Turkey, you want in? I think I already have you on my Friends list.
I'm in for Magicka if you still have a free slot open.Bii said:Alright, I'm getting a 4-pack for Magicka and Hoard.

I have my mouse aiming and FOV set perfect for me.
I went into User.ini and replaced all instances of "Speed=2000" with "Speed=500".
This slowed the mouse aiming down and greatly nullified the acceleration. I had to crank the in-game sensitivity up to 5 to compensate. Now the aim is slow enough to be controllable, but not too slow. It's as fluid as any other FPS I've played now. I have a Logitech G500 running at 5700dpi.
Maybe that'll inspire them to crack the whip in that regard.jaundicejuice said:This is where they'll lose ground to competing DD services. EA's customer service apparently kicks the living shit out of Steams according to LovingSteamOrigin. EA has better customer service than Valve. EA.

But now you get Space Marine!Zeitgeister said:Now I sorta regret preordering Space Marine and getting darksiders for free with it. :')

OK, Darksiders seems to have the console video options with the additional ability to change the resolution and toggle v-sync.Xamdou said:Does Darksiders have advanced video options or are you stuck with default options? Also 360 controller native support?

Yes, they come up quite a lot. Then again, PvZ was just on sale a few weeks ago, with more off if I remember correctly.Bentendo said:Does Valve put the Half-Life games on sale often? I'm thinking of just buying the original so I have enough money for Plants vs. Zombies.
Alien Breed is a free game, you could always go for that, even if you don't own any other games.Suairyu said:Awesome. I just got my third ticket. That's all three from their lame social advertising things. TF2 sunglasses in the bag, and that's the only game I have on the prize list anyway.
Odds on the end of the sale revealing some sort of super mega prize for lots of tickets?
Also finally added Blue Shift and Opposing Forces to my collection.
It's no longer on the prize pagedrizzle said:I added the firecracker to my arsenal (and i'm evne using it) on Spiral Knights and I didn't get teh achievement.
wtf?

Baller said:Weak. Summer achievements should be easily attainable by anyone who buys the game during the sale. That's their entire point -- getting people to buy the games. Fuck whoever thought this achievement was a good idea.

It's gone from the prize page.
EternalGamer said:I disagree. Then they are just charging you for achievements. Half the fun is when they challenge you and you can work together with friends to earn cool stuff.
