Is Arma II good?

That depends. It's a hardcore military simulation, and Arma II takes pride in that. If you've never played anything like it, it's hard to tell if you'll like it.

Did you ever play the Impressions city builders? Pharaoh, Zeus, Emperor? The tropico series has more in common with those games in my opinion.

Oh okay. Those games were great. (I'm actually happy about this. I've played so much SimCity that I want something different now).

BANK account? Please tell me you mean Steam wallet...

How can you even consider buying games if you have less than $30 in your bank account?
Because I'm an unemployed 17 year old, I don't have anything else to spend money on.

Okay, I have to buy GAS, but....

Wow, The Force Unleashed 2 is a pile of fucking shit. As soon as I started it, it crashed. Then I tried again and it started but it looked like this.

Any advice for the 5th map? There isn't a ton of areas for placement, and I just can't seem to figure out how to get through it.

*edit* by 5th I mean the last map you have to do Out of Bullets on.

I started off with a couple of lasers and 1 meteor. Then I tried to quickly add another meteor, upgrade meteor, place more lasers and some temporal in the choke spots. Also a concussion in a choke spot. Before the flying ones started I plopped down 2 missiles that took care of all air until the end. Then I just added more and more meteor, ended up with something like 3 x meteor lvl3, 1 x meteor lvl1, 5(?) x lasers lvl1-3, 3 x temporal, 1 x concussion lvl 3.

Beat it with just about half the cores left. Probably not the best strategy but I manged to scrape by.

I sort of played Flashpoint back in the day. It was ok, but I had different standarts of difficulty back then. I also did a mission in Arma II demo on easy and it was fun.

is AI good? Does it have its "moments" at least?

If I hated AC1, will I like AC2 or Brotherhood more?

I mean is it still a chase fest?, do the sequels have more variety? AC1 was very monotonous to me.

If you liked the first you will probably be blown away by 2.

What did they do different in 2?

YES!

Assassins creed worth it? played a bit of the first one on the 360 and enjoyed it.

Yes. Brotherhood has a new multiplayer mode (I hope that it's still active though) where you need to assassinate predetermined targets without any other player noticing that you are also a player (or stop other players from getting the target). That has me very much intrigued, and I'm not such a multiplayer kind of player... The SP should be the same awesome freely based historic epic adventure with parkour on the roof of famous cities.

I consider AC1 one of the worst games I've ever beaten and I really liked AC2(haven't played Brotherhood). It does a good job of giving the game some variety and definitely improves the combat. It also gets rid of the stupid intelligence gathering and has more missions than stupid chases.

No clue, but so far the one chicks mouth looks fucking crazy stupid.

I think they took out all the crap filler that was in the first game and made it so every mission wasn't you doing the exact same thing every time. That's what I gather reading reviews.

Ok so I was asked for age verification. Typed the year wrong (fast clicking for the lose). Was denied entry to buy As Creed II. Apparently I am no longer asked for verification and are denied entry to the page instantly. I've tried logging from another browser, and now I am asked to type a verification code that I am supposed to receive as email. But I get no such code.

Anyone knows how to deal with this ?

AC1 is a fantastic ... historical simulation that tries to be a videogame. Most people hate it.

AC2 onwards is a videogame.

That being said, they are all good, but you might not take to AC1.

Yeah, 2 hours of history, repeated across the entire game.

AC2 has much, much more mission variety than AC1 did. It's no longer "interrogate this guy, eavesdrop on this guy, then do an assassination mission." The cities themselves are better designed, and the story is much better. Unlike Altair, I actually liked Ezio and found his quest compelling.

The general mechanics of the game are the same, so if you hated AC1 because of that, then the sequels might not work for you either. But coming from someone that actually liked AC1, I can say AC2 is infinitely a better game. At for 5 bucks, I'd say give it a shot.

I wouldn't get Brotherhood until you know whether or not you like AC2, because it's basically more of the same.

Clear all your cookies/cache, delete all your temporary internet files, run CC Cleaner or whatever. Just clear everything out and it should prompt you for your age again.

I think I'll be cheap and wait for a cheaper Assassin's Creed pack on Christmas.

I don't want Assassin's Creed 1, I want 2, I want brotherhood, but it's too expensive for me right now.

I believe that, by xmas, Brotherhood will drop down to 19,00, which will make the Pack (with 66% discount) around 19 bucks, which seems a better deal...

The fact that I probably won't play Assassin's Creed II prior to December if I buy it now is also a great part of this decision.

However, l still have about 20 hours to fight the urge...

no tips on the summer cheevos for me to post in the OP?
To get the achievement in The Polynomial, you don't have to attract the enemies to the sun (the pulsating orange ball somewhere in the field). Just shoot at it, your bullets will ricochet of it. If you kill somebody with the ricocheted bullet, you get the achievement.

I THINK that's how I got it anyway. Game is a goddamn acid trip

I started playing AC2 before AC1. Then I played AC1. Both are great games.. AC2 is a great sequel

Well, AC is all alternative history but they at least stuck to historical accuracy for 95% of the things in AC1.

AC2 afterwards is not so much historically accurate, just used as a setting.

I'm still waiting for someone to convince me a Diablo style game can be enjoyed without multiplayer.

Different strokes. I've played a ton of Diablo/Diablo II single player. If you don't enjoy it without other folks in-game then Torchlight probably isn't for you.

I didn't wanted to clear the history as I was not receiving the verification code emails (I still have not received it) so I did not wanted to be locked out of my account. Apparently if you don't have the correct cookie you cannot enter without being verified first.

Having said that and seeing no other option, I went out to clear out the history on my chrome browser. Turns out that you can select to only remove the cookie history from the last hour. I didn't know such option existed, I thought I had to delete all or go item by item manually.

I deleted the latest history and like you mention the prompt was back. ACII was bought. I was waiting to be able to buy this for < $10. 6.79 is perfect. Thanks.

I mainly play these games single-player. Diablo 2 i played hundreds of hours single-player.

They are definitely still enjoyable that way to people.

Contemplating torchlight, but torchlight 2 has co op which would make it so much more fun. Isn't it coming out soon?
While this is all true, its 2.99. Perfect price to get a Diablo fix before either D3 or Torchlight 2 hit.
