The combo flow of stringing together every increasing (cost) skills is fantastic. Once I got the hang of how it worked my brain broke for a second. There are so many jobs and on top of that, tons of job combinations which lead to specific combos, it is extremely fulfilling building the combos up.No, its the closest to Nioh which this game is built off of.
Its basically Nioh with a final fantasty theme.
Also as a tip for job grinding and other folks that have gotten to end game check my math here:
It seems that if you level up a job to 30 and that job has other jobs you can unlock, it seems like you get experience for those unlocked jobs as you play that level 30 job. For example: Swordsman unlocks Marauder and Red Mage as part of their skill tree. As long as you have those jobs available when you play as the swordsman job at level 30 the experience you get flows into the other jobs on that tree. I was grinding out skills last night and noticed that I was getting "Job Level Up" pop ups for jobs I didn't have equipped. I thought at first it was because I had equipment on with those job affinity but after testing it seems it was related to my swordsman job being maxed out.
