Neither version looks as good as Third Strike.

Seriously wtf , there loads of people who seen this and played already said the game looks similar to ps4 / Xbox s , it's no way close to ps5 or ps5 pro , no point watch a rubbish you tube clip to make yr mind up, I've got this on switch 2 and for me it's for playing out and about, but at home the pc and ps5 versions I got blow the switch away

Switch 2 looks better than ps5 pro.

I have a switch 2 and when I load up the sf6 demo it looks absolutely garbage compared to Xbox, PS5, steam deck, and PC (of course).

I haven't bothered trying it docked because I only care about handheld when it comes to Switch 2.

When I put sf6 on my OLED deck and on my switch 2, nothing on the switch 2 looks better.

Nothing.

Yet again, Nintendo has the weakest platform of all.

Wouldn't bother in docked , internet full of uncalibrated or bull shots , no matter what u see online most reputable comparison site say sf6 about ps4 not ps5 to look at on a big screen , and im getting same switch ain't close to ps5 graphically and so it shouldn't be

The game was built for PS4 tech as a base, I don't get the comparison to the Ps5, well I do but it is meaningless......
?? Even worse for the PS5. The easier to render the game, the better the IQ should be.

"Words don't come easy to me"

What's funny about SF6 is I've always been playing it on a nice PC then I got it on switch 2 and said to myself " it looks and play well but does look a little rough as expected " then I down loaded the ps5 demo and was very shocked at how rough it look on there! The hair and some other things actually look worse on base ps5 than on switch 2! But neither is close to the quality on a decent pc.

The only worthwile side by side comparison would be the one between a nintendo hater and a nintendo fan peepees, sadly we don't have microscopes powerful enough yet.

I loaded it up on PS5 Pro and yes the game definitely does not look as good as it should, I don't need a retard posting gibberish to tell me that.

Apart from npc looks the same
Seems that in Switch 2 in addition to reduce NPCs to the minimum they also disabled bloom and maybe other visual effects and shadows (seen in Cammy's shadow in the Russian factory stage or in the left side of the alley stage).

SF6 also doesn't use PSSR in PS5 Pro, while I assume in Switch 2 may use DLSS.

The comparision doesn't show the open world World Tour mode, which is the most demanding part of the game in terms of performance sin several locations, pretty likely Switch 2 may struggle there.

SF6 doesn't even have a PS5 Pro patch. Judging by prior history too it won't ever get one.

Bit of a lop-sided comparison, on the one hand you have the state-of-the-art PS5, and then on the other a console closer to a PS4...clearly there is only one winner..

True, it only has PS4 and PS5 version.

I assume they may have chosen for Switch 2 the PC visual settings of the PS4 version or similar ones.
its a mixture , overall in between the ps4 and ps5. Like th e hair rendering is better than ps5 thanks to dlss. Textures look the same. but shadows, draw in on world mode, and "muscle system" ( which seems to be some form of dynamic parallax) are ps4 level for sure.

The only comparison that matters is: does it look like better than Mortal Kombat 1 on OG Switch or not. Comparing to 10tf machines is pointless

The Switch 2 version looks somewhat over-sharpened in places.
Because it has cutbacks (aside from the obvious cutback in detail in the combat environment and NPCs) in a multitude of graphical image effects. There's no DOF, SSS (Subsurface Scattering), reduced particle effects...

It isn't a mixture, other than using DLSS the Switch 2 version is worse in all the things that are different.

I can't say for sure because I don't have 4K here and there's the youtube compression, but regarding rendering I'd bet the Switch 2 version uses a way lower render resolution than the PS5 version, but later upscales/fixes it via DLSS.

The "dynamic parallax" you mention may be the subsurface scattering, which is other of the visual settings you can tone down or disable in the PC visual settings. PS5 may also have it max and Switch at minimum or disabled.

no the dynamic parallax is how they do muscles and cloth simulation.

This is best video I could find quickly. the different versions have different levels of Ryu's muscle flex. switch 2 doesn't have as much definition.
