Street Fighter V Cinematic Story Expansion Trailer, will have 2nd art story at launch

I said MK, not MK X. MK was the first modern fighter to do a real story mode. While it's abhorrent how WB and NRS are treating PC players, no one can deny that they raised the bar for fighters having single player content, something Capcom fighters notoriously lack.

And for the record, I'd rather have it delayed because I consider it to be an essential part of the game.

They're prioritizing right for the audience that will keep the game alive for many years, not for the buyers who will play story mode at launch, never touch the game again and/or sell it back like so many do for the MK series.

Bengus please....

Yeah, screw that. Buy it when the content is there you want.

"you won’t need to play either of the story modes to unlock any major content in the game."

"Capcom reiterated that all post-launch content must either be free for players or earn-able with Fight Money. So, with both skill and patience, you’ll be able to unlock everything that comes for the game without paying any extra money."

SWEET !

I think the delay is mostly tied to new character designs. They're dropping it in June, most likely the Guile DLC launch at the same time.

that's their plan at least... unless they're dumb enough to put the DLC character models in a patch for us to data mine.

I think they've caught on though... the alt costumes in the last patch- they wanted those to leak. They didn't even bother to change the encryption from the last beta.

I'm thinking if this Guile photo isn't to fool us.
I mean it, this is how Nash remembers him, but his design could've changed and this is an alternative costume.

Nash also apears with his "classic look" on the character story mode, but the default one is the new design.

4 months, wow. That being said, everything I've seen suggests I'll still be playing it by that point so I don;t really care.

I'm glad they're seemingly going the MK route. Now hopefully you play as the Shadaloo agents as well. Not being able to play as the main villains in MK9 & X was disappointing to me.

Well, at least he's not Guile since he's missing the US flag tattoos.

Lasered off so he can go full on Shadaloo sympathizer like Sgt Slaughter.

Edit: "delay the game?" "Disappointed?" Capcom made the right call on this one, guys. Take care of the audience that's gonna stick around after launch and pump money into the game through its lifetime first.

The classic look must be part of the prologue that's currently in the game.

You might as well have delayed the game.

Chillll bruh
More like Ono got a whole game of Tekken characters, Harada gets Akuma.
And Ono still fucked it up

Nah fuck that. People who want the story can wait and pick the game up cheaper months down the road.

I'm cool with this announcement, but the news of the store launching later has me a little worried. Makes me think they're going to track people's progress in regards to fight money, and then later decide on what price they want the content to be, which won't be cool.

No thank you. Characters are playable now and fighting game enthusiasts are itching to play and compete already. Those who don't plan to learn the game and play it properly (I do not mean this in a bad sense) can wait for the patch to drop and purchase it then.
