So I just beat Ken's story/prologue. I FUCKING NEED THAT KEN IN A TUXEDO WITH SLICKED BACK HAIR AS A COSTUME. DO THAT NOW CAPCOM. DO IT.

Damn, anyone got a picture of this Ken?

Need to see it.

So... Battle Lounges and adding people is completely broken right now, right? I'm not just going crazy?

Just hopped on and trying to make a lounge and can't, like that for everyone?

Does anyone have any tips when it comes to performing 360 motions on d pad? I keep jumping in the middle of the motion.

Please note I am not a fighting game expert by any means but as a guy that plays a lot of grapplers with a pad I wanted to try to help out. When I first couldn't get the 360 motion down, I found that one of two things was happening:

1. I wasn't pressing punch (or kick) early enough, thus taking too long to complete the input.

2. I was too obsessed when trying to get the full 360 motion when it's much easier to think of it as forward to down to back to up, then immediately hit the button. I was told by a friend a long time ago this was a decision made by Capcom by some point to simplify the input and it may not work on older games. Not sure if that's BS or not.

Hope this helps a little!

Few questions:

1) I see online versus is kind of borked, but can you consistently stay connected to the servers and earn fight money now?

2) Is it possible to choose to not search for online matches while playing Story/Survival mode?

3) Any hard numbers on the PS3 stick input lag yet?

I really like the art style in story mode. They should make a alt costume to reflect that art style.

Just got off the phone with BB after spending 30 mins with them. Told me they sent me a new preorder bonus code and it would take 2-4 hours.

Honestly, why the heck did some of you preorder or buy this day one? Did you not realize what you were getting with a new fighting game? Most people could have told you that the online would have issues day one, and generally you shouldn't be buying a fighting game day one if you have no interest in learning the characters and playing the multiplayer. I know its low on content, but everything that was lacking was known well in advance, so to buy it on day one and be disappointed to the extent that some of the people here are is baffling to me.

Agreed.

The network situation sucks. But I guess people have short memories. GTA Online was a hot mess just as the best example off of the top of my head.

But as far as the features it has... none of that has been a surprise. Capcom released their detailed road map for releasing content. Reviews were out a day early.

Seriously, if you bought the game and are all of a sudden "omfg no content, I'm ripped off, game sucks", I have little sympathy. It was known for awhile what the game was shipping with at launch and what it wasn't.

I want Eliza as a shoto (She can be best buds with Karin and replace Sakura forever), and Azam playable in 2017's Season. Azam is legit goddamn cool. Poison needs to hang with him instead of that oaf Hugo.

When you're disconnected from server you get booted from the game even if it's an offline mode. I'm sorry, but who thought this was a good idea?

I have a lot of problems with the core points of this game that don't include the amazing gameplay.

1. Online. As a multiplayer, online focused game there are still people who can't connect to even get in a Fight ID. It also takes forever to get into a match. On the broadest settings, I was averaging like 5 matches every three hours. While it is understandable that there is going to be a heavy load, there is no reason why a console funded, multiplayer focused game should be this bad. And that's with an excellent connection that was getting matches less than a minute after searching in the beta.

2. Lack of a trial mode, advanced tutorial, or proper explanations for V-Triggers and V-skills. For each fighting game I jump back into I have to get used to the ropes. As for Street Fighter V, there is absolutely no native support on helping players get in basic combos, besides hit confirms I think.

Even V-triggers and V-skills have no proper explanation as to what their effect actually is, resorting players to search the internet and find explanations on their effects and how their V-triggers charge. Same goes for combos, where most combo videos or combo sites only include high execution combos. In general, if they want to build a playerbase for anyone that ranges from casual to scrub.

3. The lack of a character select screen when going online means you have to pause and end your matchmaking so that you can choose "your favorite character" (which will be confusing to many.) This is especially counter-intuitive when you're matchmaking while in training mode. Training for 30+ minutes without getting a match and practicing with your character for the next match only to pick another character you were experimenting 30+ minutes ago is a joke.

4. QOL stuff that makes a game just more enjoyable to go through. Matchmaking/Network options reset to default if you ever go back to the menu. Going through multiple sub-menus just to make a preference change for your next fight. The things I mentioned above. etc. A game, one that is rather barebones at launch, shouldn't be that much of a hassle to trudge through when their predecessors had it done right the first time.

All in all, there's too much stress trying to get into a match and deal with the game. Core mechanics and great fighting aside, I had to stop even trying and will wait until things get better.

Its not a great idea but its done because you can earn fight money and my guess that is server side due to wanting to avoid scammers or some shit...but yeah dats bad either way.

The game doesn't support dinput. You have to use software to convert from dinput to xinput. Capcom said they would patch the game eventually to support dinput.

I can't even get Windows to detect inputs; it's detecting the joystick just fine, but when I try to calibrate it, nothing registers. I know the PS3 MadCatz sticks are only compatible with Intel USB controllers, which I'm pretty sure my mobo has because I remember playing USFIV with people on the same hardware using this stick, except on Windows 7 instead of 8. Totally confused here.

Motherfucking game, ugh, beyond frustrated. Just trying to do survival, 20 matches in on normal, disconnects. Lose everything. Fuck you Capcom! If I didn't absolutely love the core of this game if be getting a refund. I know this shit is going to be fixed but this is miserable.

Because of the PC version. It is too easy to cheat on the PC so they have to serverside anything that matters. Its a huge bummer.
