Of course the servers are usually up when us Europeans are working, but as soon as I arrive home later, they won't be working... sigh. Well, at least the maintenance is at 3 AM for us.

And is the lounge working yet?

Anyone else's trophies not actually registering after they pop? For some reason a bunch of mine are still listed as Not Earned.

EDIT: False alarm. It just refused to update.

So you gotta exit to menu to pick a new character before matchmaking every time you want to change?

Yea that is really fucking stupid. Casuals/Ranked. And even in lobbies unless you switch it.

Are lobbies working? I need da runback rooms to be working. I breathe runbacks. It is how I get better.

Can someone explain the V-Reversal system to me? I'm on PS4 and it says "while guarding, press toward and all punches or all kicks" but I don't think I'm doing it correctly.

All my story trophies didn't unlock after I completed the mode with all characters..

Why can't it just save your Survival progress if the game disconnects? So frustrating, not to mention the horrible slowdown while it looks for a match on the background.

Game working well now. Actually getting into matches, already got the 3 win stream achievement. So I'm happy.

I think I should take this chance to learn a new character while everyone is green though. I've been using Ryu for like 8 years...

Oh good. Ken/Ryu flow chart players don't know how to handle characters that zip around the screen.

Ican't describe how much joy i get everytime someone tries to zone my necalli. Fireballs not so safe anymore, lol.

The game has caught a lot of heat and rightly so. But it's just so damn good to play. Plus when the online works it seems very robust net code wise. I'm going to have to buy the season pass though. No way I can be bothered to save fight money or finish survival over and over or whatever. And Capcom know this. Think my main complaint is the roster being so limited at launch and the lack of challenge mode which to me is the best place to learn new characters

Small roster makes it easier to master match ups though, gotta admit.

Do forward + L1 or L2 while guarding an attack if you're using default mapping. L1 is for all 3 punches button, L2 for kicks, and you need to press the one according to your character's v-reversal. Ryu is 3 punches so L1, for instance.

So in survival mode is fight money only awarded once per character per difficultly?

Also would love for capcom to bring out dlc music packs (3rd strike and alpha 2 would be amazing)

So, which major tournament is going to be the first one to make the mistake of having their main stream console connected to the internet? One server outage and it's RIP.

Hopefully everyone is smart enough to remember to start their game in offline mode.

Is the global map giving anyone else the wrong time? Mine is one hour ahead lol It made me think I should be sleeping.

My map says I'm in California when I'm playing from Atlanta.

Fireballs aren't safe period now. Jumping in is so op in this game right now because of the distance you travel in the air. I'm still used to sf4 jump ins which were much shorter. You can almost jump from half screen now wtf?

Need to practice a brand new AA game for my Vega. Down back Light punch isn't cutting it in clutch situations, but it works well enough. It also adds swag to Vega.

Just to confirm: vega's v skill dodges fireballs right (that twirl he does)? When you hold it, it does a hella meaty poke?

Ohhh. I just started a few hrs ago havent tried that yet.

Why do we get the same stage every time now for 10 matches?! No stage select or is it an 'option' like picking your character?

It's set in the battle settings as "favorite level", you might want to set it to random.

Guys you can activate different songs to play in the main menu if your getting tired of the same song. Its in the sound settings in the options menu.

It's the free-to-play model on a $60 game. I don't think you're the only one who is going to break down.

I'm quoting this from the press release:

For $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, SFV players get all six additional characters, each with a premium costume, in addition to an exclusive PS4 theme. Each character would cost 600 Zenny individually, and each premium costume would cost 400 Zenny individually, making this a $60 value for half the price! As a final incentive, in North America, if you purchase the 2016 Season Pass before February 16 you will receive three PS4 avatars (Ryu, Chun-Li, and M. Bison) for free!

So am I to understand that the season pass DOES NOT include the premium costumes for the rest of the cast and we will still have to pay $4 each for them as they are not available through fight money?

Also, per the bolded, apparently 6 characters + 6 Costumes equals $60, the same price as the actual game that includes 16 characters with 1 alt each. "But you can get it for $30, that's half the price!" What? Where do they get this "value" from? The prices are arbitrary

Personally. I think I'm going to deal with the grind because the pass doesn't included anything else and I don't need all the costumes. I'm sure Capcom will have Double FM Weekends and such. An entire month between characters is doable and I don't need every character right away if not.

So since pre-orders got an alt for free, that means there is no way around spending the $4 per costume for the remaining 15 on the base roster, which is quite a hike from last gen. Worse than DoA5, actually. It comes to $60. For newcomer DLC costumes 6 x 4 is $24, which is just $6 shy of of the cost of the pass. So if you want the costumes I guess you might as well buy the pass and avoid the FM grind?

So assuming you're going to grind out the DLC characters but you still want the costumes, that would make the total cost of Street Fighter V $144 and you'll have 22 characters and 38 alternate costumes (including Story Mode Costumes) in the end. Everything else being implemented should be considered covered by the initial $60 cost of the game itself.

EDIT: Seriously, $4 a skin is fucking bananas. I thought SF IV's were over priced at $1.25 each back in the day. I thought DOA5's were ridiculous at $2. But $4 fucking dollars? I know, I don't have to buy it. And I won't. That doesn't mean I can't be mad about it, as I would have liked to have the costumes but I simply can't justify that.

Hey guys, how is an Xbox One Elite Controller for this game? Analog or D-Pad. If I get it, it'll be on PC, and my old stick isn't compatible.

It works fine with the PC version, but I am currently using Xbox 360 fighstick until there are drivers for Xbox One TE2 stick.

Well that was interesting. Ps4 version crashed in the middle of Chun Li's story on Maximillian_Dood's stream just now. Right after beating the first vega fight with a CA.
