The way I see it the price isn't going to drop on this game before they get the network working correctly or before they add more content in March, so if those are your reasons for hesitating, you don't have anything to lose by buying now. Especially if you want to start practicing.

Finally got some online matches in yesterday. Felt really good. Ended up going on a 10 game win streak with my day 1 Ken before stopping.

The game I ranked up to Bronze I also ranked someone down to rookie as well, so it was doubly satisfying.

His QCB HK comes out really fast and goes full screen, useful for tagging people who jump around or zoning. after nailing people with it a couple times you can use the LK variant to fake people out.

Make good use of Rashid's VT, it generally A) sends people into turtle mode, at which point you can cross em up with the MP+MK hop or throw them, or B) makes them jump backwards to avoid the tornado, at which point you nail them with yet another QCB HK. If the whirlwind actually connects, get under them for a free Ultra.

St. Lk, weirdly enough, is really, really good. MP/HP/EX mixer is okay situationally, as well as cr. mp. Prolly better off saving the meter/EX mixers for checking people who spam meaty attacks, though.

LOL that's why I'm enjoying this game so much on Steam... no message system and no VOIP. I can play the game in some peace.

For me at least the removal of those features was a serious upgrade from SF4 xbox 360 days.

Has anyone else noticed the training mode audio glitch? Where sometimes if you restart it doubles up on the audio, and it's unsynced. So it just sounds like a mess. Only way to fix it is to back out and come back in.

It's possible that the people you got matched up with are closer to you but they're using Wi-Fi or have network processes running in the background which messes up the connection.

Yeah, I put battle confirmation on after having to quit out of most games today. Most battles it comes up with are 1-3 bars when its set to 4-5..
