It wasn't even the fireball game that made you lose, dude. It felt like Ryu threw 200 fireballs that whole round, yet I don't think he ever chipped away more than 20% of your health. You just lost because he capitalized on the mid-range (ex. sweeping your whiffed moves). And although this isn't ST by any means, a really good ST player will probably have enough of an understanding of spacing to be good at any SF game (except maybe 3S, since parrys are a whole different beast). And yeah, neutral jump the fireballs.
I'm not seeing it. All the pure fireball characters were not that strong in the grande scheme. And although fireballs were pretty decent overall, you couldn't just sit and chuck. I would know, I turtled my way to victory against top ST players, was never able to do that in SF4. Even Sagat had to play the neutral game. I'd agree with you if you said they were decent/solid, but "super good" is a stretch.KingBroly said:The first part was, because fireballs were super good in SF4.
