Subtle gamer tattoos

I got my first tattoo last year, inspired by my favorite game in the world!

Here's a picture of it from when I got it, sorry that I don't have a more recent one.

Getting a tattoo of a game that isn't released yet seems like a not-good idea. As much as one might have liked the TLOU, or felt an affinity for Ellie, you don't know how the character has changed, will develop or how you'll feel about her.
Reminds me of that scene in "Fanboys" where Seth Rogen's character was so hyped for episode 1 that he got a Jar Jar tattoo

Edit: This one of Mr Saturn seems pretty awesome too.

Yeah, for years I have thought that if I ever do get a tattoo, it'll be Mr. Saturn just like this. I think it looks great.

This thread at large is really something else though. That MGS tattoo is so ironic. He's making it public by getting it tattooed on his body!

Oh my God I have to post my horrible tequila triforce tattoo. My older brother is a great tattoo artist in Minnesota my younger brother is... Not. I'm keeping it as a memento to never trust my brother around a tattoo gun again. Will post when I get out of the car

Is the OP the same as the one that made that 'subtle' gaming clothes thread?

Regardless, this thread, and that older one, confuse the hell out of me. Where does the sarcasm begin and where does it end?!

Also the Pokémon tattoo in the OP looks heinous and painful

Okay sorry, got it now. Horrible triforce:

My brother and I were drinking tequila, and he convinced me that he had been tattooing people all over town. So i figured what the heck why not. It started out okay, got worse as it got slanted. He then proceeded to try coloring it in and I was like NOPE. Turns out he had been tattooing himself all over and I hadn't noticed. I was the first person other than himself he had tattooed. Thankfully I was also the last person he also tattooed.

I've kept it for the memory though, bad as it is it's still something from my younger brother.

I like Overwatch, alot. For a minnute there I thought of starting a a lower forearm half Sleeve with Mercy's phrase, "Heroes Never Die" across the forearm with the O being the overwatch Symbol and just adding one spray per character down the road.

Instead I think I may just get the Logo in its loading version in Trash Polka Style somewhere instead

Wow people have serious issues to be recognized as a gamer ?
Are you all embarresed of your hobby ? Serious question.

It's just a fun hobby, not something the defines me as a person. I don't need the whole world to identify me as a "Gamer" by getting tattoos of game stuff. Also, a lot of the times game art just isn't good out of context, like inked on a person.

This is important to remember. I'm not a walking stereotype and videogames are pretty low on the rung of things that define who I am.

They are meant to face my direction. Otherwise they would be upside down when I play games or work or hold the railings of a bus ;P

When people look at your person its going to be upside down though. It's like wearing a shirt with an upside design on it just so you can see it for your own looking pleasure.

It's your tattoo and your reasons for getting it that way is your own choice. It's just going to look incredibly silly to everyone else.

Here is one of mine not subtle at all but i love it. Never had any strange reactions on school, work and while going out.

It's Imp Midna from Zelda Twilight Princess.
This was during winter that's why i'm so pale lol.

Edit: fixed.

It blows my mind that every time a thread like this is posted, there's a decent amount of replies who don't get that it's a joke. How?

Little bit of a bump since I'm getting one of my own. I already have 3 on me, but none of them are gaming related. This one is however:
The subtlety to it comes from the fact that I'm a gemini. This image can easily be looked at as the duality aspect of that horoscope sign. Or if you are a gamer, you will know this is from Persona.

Read the thread, barely found 2 legitimate ones.

Here's my subtle gaming tattoo.

It's the Soundstone theme from Earthbound.
This one I like. It had more thought go into it than whacking a triforce on your arm, plus in contrast to most of the thread it is actually subtle for a game-related tattoo.

I'll probably do the "We know" mark on my lower left arm at some point this or next year.

This one is acceptable if you don't have the writing. It's still borderline "edgy" to get the mark of an assassin guild from a game tattooed on you, but it's your body.
