Forreal tho, when was the last time a CBM was about to release and a few 'not very good' or 'bad' rumours popped up and the movie turned out to be great?

Can't remember any negative buzz about Civil War or Deadpool.

But isn't Superman supposed to be smiling and happy with this life in that? That would never work.

Superman is pretty miserable throughout that story and is incredibly pissed off during the climactic fight. Snyder could make it work. But I think Alan Moore has perfected his spells against DC after The Killing Joke fiasco so who knows.

You crazy. Fury was good.
And dude made end of watch and training day.
He only wrote Training Day, which I think is fine but not exactly gaga over. I didn't see End of Watch because it looked really obnoxious but I did hear good things about it from people who thought the same.

They were a "negative" needle in the haystack for both those films. But it got drowned out by the more popular feedback.

Well, I guess I stand corrected about the reshoots.

Still, it's a DC comics movie that's trying to be edgy and stars Will Smith. It seems tailor-made to move merch at Hot Topic.

So, yeah. Not even a little hope.

End of Watch is a good movie. There's some great chemistry between the two leads.

Why doesn't WB seem to have the confidence in its movies like Marvel did with Civil War.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Marvel have screening for press a month before CW released? Why doesn't WB do the same for its movies?

Yes he's horrible. Fury, End of Watch, Harsh Times. Hot Trash.

This young slacker dude that skateboards in my neighborhood and knows my son works at Hot Topic and has seen all related merchandise and said it's really good. His favorite are a pair of Deadshot boxers with a bullseye on the crotch area. Keep in mind this is all hearsay.

Ayer wrote Training Day. Fuqua directed. Add to that Ayer's earlier films were cut from the same cloth, it bring confusion.

Ayer was also a writer on S.W.A.T. and The Fast and the Furious.

The year that The Hurt Locker won best picture, the Academy had a co-star introduce each acting nomination and explain why said actor/actress was so great. Everybody was introduced by costars from their previous critically acclaimed films, except for Jeremy Renner. He had Colin Farrell come out and talk about how fun it was to shoot S.W.A.T. because they couldn't find anything better for Renner.

NOBODY CARES

Listen, guys, hot tip: apparently WB sent out like a legion of guys 2-3 days ago and they totally cut Harley out of the movie. LITERALLYcut, they went in and took apart the film reels with scissors and stuck that shit back together with off-brand Scotch tape. The movie is now only 65 minutes long.

You heard it here first. No hearsay, I got slapped by one of them right in the face.

omg was that the one where Chris Evans gets shot in the neck and Keanu Reeves is a total douche

Yeah. It was decent.

I haven't seen an Ayer movie that I would say is genuinely bad. He likes playing in the same sandbox a lot, but he still hasn't made a stinker...yet.

I remember that for Colin joking (?) about spooning with Renner on set. Also, at the time I thought Renner was the guy from Idle Hands.

Wow

This thread went places

So how about those early impressions

8 people died in press screenings. Their cause of death remains unexplained; doctors are left entirely baffled. Toughcop McCrimebuster can't crack the case, until his captain calls in that psychic octopus that predicts World Cup results and shit. Together, they are... OCTOCOP.

Premiering this fall on NBC.
