I think Jhans is terrible at reviews. Seems like a cool guy worth hanging out.

He more of a first impression kinda of guy. He doesn't take time trying to analysis much.

Not sure if you're joking but that clock exists in real life

I'm aware it's an actual thing. But there is no need to actually show that, when it was only a transition in the book. It just looks plain silly on screen, instead of conveying unease as it's supposed to.
It's been a number of years since I saw the film, but while I liked it, I remember feeling like the director just copypasted what he saw in the book.

Having seen more of his films since, I can see now Watchmen the film works because the source material is so strong that literally recreating it can still work. BvS has no such strong material so his cribbing of comic book panels, other films and art ends up meaning nothing.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
Civil War is the only Marvel film with a strong third act.

Erh, Civil War was weak though. Bless the John Wick filmmakers for the airport scene because without it, the film would have been quite dull and was at times uneven in pacing and editing. Bless em.

Stuckmann is far superior imo. I don't always agree with him but he usually has reasonable opinions and explains them well.

So this is still doing pretty poorly huh? That's kind of a shame. And despite the thread title and whatever else was said in here about Thor 2. I thought BvS was much more enjoyable and I think Thor 2 is about as boring as Man of Steel. Unfortunately though I guess this potentially underperforming due to shitty reviews means we probably won't get another suicide squad movie for better or worse.

You need to step the fuck away from this thread. This can't be fun for you because your obviously invested in this movie.

Because i linked a review, suddenly i am very invested in this movie? The guy´s comment was fanboyish, and i called him on it.

To be fair, his review have been already posted two times before.
I have not read all the 34 page thread, so i did not know it was already linked.

I did not miss your point. You are just pissed off because he liked the movie, and it shows.
He gives more insight about what he liked and did not like about the movie.

What the heck are you talking about LMAO

Step away from the computer screen bud, you're getting too heated

I have been watching JJ for 2 years now, and i like his reviews. He is not an elitist movie garbage reviewer who thinks his opinion is better than everyone else´s. You really seem butthurt over him liking the movie. Your username is fitting for your arrogant opinion.

He's a bad reviewer whose videos inform you little about the movie beyond the RT consensus, that's my take on it

The fact that you jumped to fanboy conclusions is hardly surprising given your avy and posting history tho

Some folks in here trying to make it seem the MCU is the best thing since sliced bread. Absurdity abound,
Great Cinematography? LOL!!! Get outta here with that.
Amazing Soundtracks? AHHAHA nope.

That's GAF for you. Buying into that Marvel assembly-line product. The lack of true creative vision and risk with directors being stifled in their level of control; it's all perfectly calculated.

DC's biggest mistake is thinking they can do the same thing. It's like they hopped on the toilet as quickly as they could with this "me too" attitude only to have to strain and force out the most constipated, grotesque looking shit imagineable.

There hasn't been a truly memorable FILM in the MCU; nothing that could stand on it's own as a masterpiece like Nolan's interpretations (or rather, one of those). This genre is becoming a bit of a joke; fanboy flame wars abound on the eve of each and every release. There's that initial clamor, the "OMG BEST MOVIE EVAR!" (usually in the case of the MCU), and then it all blows over until the next one, which everyone has been reminded to see in a post-credit sequence of some sort.

Don't worry. I'm eagerly awaiting South Park The Fractured But Whole and its takedown of this nonsense.

Because he created something so good that no one else could match it?
Wasn't Nolan the one who decided to hire Snyder for Man of Steel?

Keep in mind the other candidates for the job were Ben Affleck, Darren Aronofsky, Duncan Jones, Jonathan Liebesman, Matt Reeves, and Tony Scott.

Thor 2 is iight

It has a cool final fight, good visuals, nice fight with Kurse, and Loki's hijinx were always entertaining

Really unfunny at certain points, and a very dull drag for the first two acts

Well he picked Zack and presented Goyer proposal for a Superman film to WB.

Leading to green lighting it.

So yes Nolan started the DCU and rise our hopes for greatness and then left to do his own things that bastard.

Still love Nolan tho
